I liked Sprawl Mart [Jaclyn Smith has her own line of axheads!] and the DVD gag. I was kinda surprised Marge actually liked the gift Homer got her, and the dependence on a new character [the hunter] was somewhat odd. Plus, there didn't seem to be a subplot. The ending was somewhat abrupt also.
However, any Simpsons is good Simpsons, and I pretty much enjoyed this episode. I think I liked it better as a whole than last week's episode, but last week's had more opportunity for visual gags, whereas this one was more plot/character oriented [which I don't think is a bad thing.]

I have to admit, this episode had me rolling on several occasions. Best episode this season and one of the better ones from the last few.

Was this the second time this season we've heard the Mexican hat dance on the show, or am I smoking way too much crack?

I can't believe that nobody mentioned the Starland Vocal Band!

"Sky rockets in flight, afternoon delight!"

Best song in the world.

Best visual gag was when Homer and the bear hugged tenderly, then Homer noticed his back was torn to shreds.

Honk!

Pretty lame this week. I did like Grampa's line about crying in the corner, though.

I'm glad they finally remembered Patty and Selma. Although they're not all that great of characters, they haven't been around much in the last few seasons.

I liked how Homer was mocked by the entire town for behaving exactly as any of them might when attacked by a bear. That was a refreshing change from the "Homer does something stupid" plotlines.

Personally, I thought this episode was a stinker. What was with Lisa dressing up as a cowgirl octopus? That was lame as hell.

My favorite episode this season. In my opinion they've been getting better each week. Hopefully the trend will continue.

I liked the grandpa at Wal-Mart part. Actually the whole Wal-Mart part was good. The Homer loving the sugar thing has been done before.

I thought it was great when they lured Homer out of his office and surprised him with the bear statue.
