Sopranos season five coming in March
Haven't seen this mentioned here -- the date has been announced for Sopranos Season 5, as well as the final episodes of Sex and the City and a new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Also, it looks like Chase is promising there will be a season 6 of Sopranos.

HBO hits return to the air in early 2004
November 25, 2003
HBO will ring in the new year with the final run of "Sex and the City," then follow up in March with the long-awaited fifth season of "The Sopranos."
"Sex" will begin the march to its series finale Jan. 4, with the first of its eight remaining episodes. The show last aired in September, when Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) found herself being swept off her feet by a distinguished Russian artist (Mikhail Baryshnikov).
Larry David's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" will also return Jan. 4 to begin its fourth season.
The eight-week final run of "Sex and the City" will last through most of February, leading up to Season 5 of "The Sopranos" on March 7. The season premiere will be the first original episode in 15 months, about the same lag time between Seasons 3 and 4.
In between, the show almost came to a screeching halt when star James Gandolfini staged a holdout in the spring to demand a higher salary. HBO and the actor settled the dispute fairly quickly. Creator David Chase has also promised a sixth and (probably) final season of the series to come in 2005.

Does anyone know if they still plan to film two seasons back to back? I know Chase said he needed more than 13 shows to wrap up the story...but I didn't know if they had decided to do 20 shows, have a 10 episode season and save the final 10 until 2005, or if they were still just doing 13 and cramming all of Chase's ideas for the ending of the show into those episodes.

'bout time... I haven't found anything worth watching on HBO in a good while (yeah, I gave Carnivale and K Street their shots but just couldn't get into them)...
