Very funny episode tonight. Alec Baldwin is such a good host, he elevates the material. I don’t mind seeing him back every year.

Bush address
Bah, these are never funny. I think Darrell Hammond has completely lost it, as he used to be really good.

Monologue
Surprise appearance by Mike Myers to promote The Cat in the Hat. Sanz & Fallon appear as two band members laughing hysterically at Baldwin’s jokes. Finally, they can put that to good use.

Baby thong diaper commercial
Repeat from a few weeks ago.

Plastic Surgeon
Okay premise, and Baldwin made the sketch. Kind of lazy writing with Poehler’s character saying she’s only sticking around for (two, one) more jokes.

Zinger Vs. The Burn
Great skit. "TIMMMM-BURRRRRN!"

The Tony Bennett Show
Baldwin was excellent here with a hilarious impression of the laid-back Bennett and his nifty phrases. Fred Armisen as Robert Durst.

Gaystrogen commercial
Another repeated commercial. At least throw one new one in.

The Falconer
I know a lot of people hate the Falconer, but I think that bird is a scream. At least he chased away the Mexican children using the Falconer for a pinata. “El Falcon!”

Weekend Update
Another take on the Arnold joke about an action-packed California. Good stuff. Will Forte’s sex video was funny too.

C-SPAN
Great sexual puns about the prince of England. SNL needs to do more of the cutting-edge humor.

Keen Corporation presentation
Kind of a throwaway, but still good.

The Return of Roy
Hilarious, but short. “Ahhh! Mein eye! Mein eye”

Movie producers
Seth Myers as a young producer, and Baldwin and Rachel Dratch and his father and grandfather. Dratch was the best here.

Overall, a big thumbs up for the show.

Next week is a repeat of the Halle Berry.
The week after is another repeat (not sure which)
December 6th, the host is
Spoiler:
Al Sharpton!!! This should be interesting.

Honk!

Unless they can get Ferrell to guest and do the Bush skit they should just stop. Parnell was ok but Hammond is terrible.

Baldwin's was great. His Tony Bennett impression was very good.

I thought the Zing/Burn skit and the CSPAN skit were the best.

Loved the Falcon snorting coke

The Demi Moore joke during WU was great

Oh, shit - I meant to tape this! Dammit, he's my all-time favorite host, too. I guess I will have to wait for a re-run.

Now, I did have faith that Alec Baldwin would be a good host, so I did record this episode. He's been funny as hell on his previous stints, and am glad to see that he's up to the task once more.

Yeah, that was a good joke, but I thought it was kind of ruined by Fallon & Fey jumping up and dancing after the punchline.

I'm not sure why I keep giving SNL a chance. I think this show will be funny eventually, so I keep tuning in every week. And once again I find myself doing it only on mad tv's commercial breaks and agian once mad tv is over. And again, I didn't see one sketch that made me laugh (except during the rainbow dance scene on the gaystrogen comm.). Wow, this show has lost it. The past 2 seasons have not been funny and they desperately need new writers and stars. Hopefully I've learned my lesson and will stop tuning in.....BLECH.

Hammond was a serviceable Clinton (though not up to Phil Hartman's standards), but his Bush is terrible.

This was probably the best of the season so far, but that is faint praise indeed.

I liked the "Zinger," and "Tony Bennett" sketches, and thought the the C-SPAN Prince Charles one was the best they've done all year.

And Missy Elliot sucked. What the hell is that shit? It's a bunch of people yelling and swinging their arms around for five minutes. How am I supposed to view this? What am I supposed to be looking for? And why should it impress me?

I just don't get this hip hop shit.

I loved this episode. I thought that most of the skits were funny, even the Falconer, which I usually hate. The Demi Moore joke was great, as was the sex video.

Alec Baldwin once again did a phenomenol job hosting...

Someone needs to tell Missy Elliot that it's not Dutch, it's Irish.

Good show overall. Like Charlie Goose said, Alec boosted the sometimes average material. It's what makes him such a great host. The Tony Bennett impersonation was right on. Burn with the two sticks was great and his pervert doctor was dead on.

I loved the guy's sex tapes. Hilarious.

Roy skit was uninspired. I knew there would be blood everywhere.

I can't understand all of Missy's lyrics although they're often sexual references but she does put on a great show. Love her energy and the rhythm.

Parnel didn't do so much as an impression of Bush but an impression of Will Farell doing an impression of Bush.

Haven't seen Hammond's yet.
