anyone see conan last night 11/7

the main premis was Triumph to go to haweii to mock the american idol contestants who were auditioning. Which of course was funny as hell. Then Conan showed a news clip from the nbc affiliate with Triumph getting kicked out of the auditions, and that fox couldn't take a joke. Then the thing that took the cake was Triumph doing the weather.

its on right now on comedy central or tune in at 6 pm on comedy central, and tonight/tomrrow, there's a second part to it as well.

this was great! I love triumph! Post some quotes from it if you remember. I remember I laughed out loud a lot, especially when he's making fun of the chubby kid and asks who his inspirations are. he named a couple and triumph goes "and chef boy-r-dee". And then said something else to him that made me crack up but i forget....

His weather report almost made me wet my bed. I can't remeber the last time I laughed so hard it hurt. Oh yeah, it was when Triumph went to Star Wars. Go Triumph!

Although, I was a little let down by Will Ferrel. He was funny but I was hoping he'd do an act, like his Bob Goulet song the last time he was on. I guess he's more busy now with the press for Elf and all.

The anchorman for the news looked super pissed when Triumph was making fun of him.

Triumph was on a local radio station this morning. Evidently he is putting out a CD with new material shortly, and a Greatest Hits DVD a while after that.

Mmm the DVD will be great.

OMG. That was some classic shit.

That one blonde w/ the pigtails and the knockers was smoking hot.

Funniest line was "when your lips quiver, it reminds me of a dachshund lhabia."

I can't wait for part two tonight.

I can't believe I missed that! I used to work for that NBC affiliate. What did Triumph say to the anchor- or was it a reporter? Was he a redhead?

i;ll have to check my tape but I think he was mainly making fun of his hair cut. he looked like he was in his early or late 40's and has grey hair.

its also good to see Max back on the show. I def. prefer him to the guy that was the main man for the band for a few months.

Does anyone know what time that news telecast aired? Triumph was saying some pretty risque stuff if it was the 6 o'clock news.

Don't forget that there is more tonight with Triumph and the American Idol contestants on Conan.

Tonight's was great. That was right up there with the Star Wars one.

For those who love Triumph he is scheduled to be on the Loveline radio show monday night (tuesday for those who get the delayed version) and he is scheduled as Triumph, not Robert Smigel.

If you don't get loveline you can checkout the Loveline companion FAQ for info on how to get .mp3 or live streams.

"And than what have we got, Oh nooooo, light wind, light wiiiinds, what will Hawaii do?... but Howard don't worry about the light winds, hurricane Isabel couldn't mess up your hair."

Dave, it was when Jodi Leong and Howard Dashefsky were anchoring. Jodi Leong was trying hard not to laugh and Howard Dashefsky looked kind of disturbed. He wasn't sure whether to laugh or to be pissed. The second part doesn't come on for another hour (since I'm in Hawaii). Looking forward to it.

Man, I'll have to get my hands on the first part. I'm shooting an email to Dashefsky to congratulate him on meeting my hero!

I guess Triumph had more fun on the newscast:

Triumph the Weather Dog?

Advertiser Staff

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog proved he was no Sharie Shima when he did the Monday late-night weather forecast for KHNL News8, the local NBC affiliate.

After informing viewers there was "light wind," he barely skipped a beat before adding, "I'm from New York. Get over it!"

Triumph, aka Robert Smigel (also creator of the animated "Ex-Presidents" segments on "Saturday Night Live"), stepped in for Shima on her day off after his job covering the "American Idol" auditions took an unexpected turn. Actually, the hand puppet made famous on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" (also on NBC) was kicked out of Aloha Stadium.

"If you wanted a comment, you're barking up the wrong tree," said KHNL news director Sue Levine.

Pressed for news of Triumph's future as an insult comic weather dog, Levine laughed.

"Let's say the forecast is cloudy," she said.

Oh, the irony!

I just started reading this thread (yeah, I saw the show yesterday), and was watching Conan, who was on in the background talking with Shannen Doherty (who I don't find particularly interesting)...and missed Chucky attacking her.
