Although I like the show, I have doubts that it is not contrived. That said, I'm starting to dislike Ruppert simply for his "WHO VOTED FOR ME?!?!?!" rants. Take it as a compliment that people consider you a threat.

Yeah, Rupert is starting to turn ugly. You are fair game just like anyone else, fat ass. Stop being so damn arrogant and acting like you shouldn't be voted against.

I would not be surprised since the outcasts will be exempt from the next tribal counsel, if the tribes are merged after the next one. This would give one tribe a potential one person advantage and the group dynamic of Drake or Morgan could not vote off the new addition, or it would be harder for them to do so.
Maybe next season we will see a 3 tribe survivor. I also expect to see a reject/outcast survivor before too many more seasons.

I think they voted Shawn out in case Burton gets voted back on. Shawn and Burton would be tight and could possibly band together and would only need one more person.
OR
They figured if a merge was soon that nobody really likes Jon and there is no was he would last.

I agree w/ you guys on Rupert. I really liked him at first, but now I don't know. The only Drake member I like now is Christa. I like everyone in Morgan now that The Puss had to "go home."

They still should have made Osten and company vote though. Isn't previous votes cast against a tribe member the first "tie-breaker" (it was in the past, not sure if it still is).
If that's still the case. Osten's vote could impact that. Plus, it would have given him an opportunity to vote for himself.

I am a female, but I've got to say that Tijuana sure has some nice breasts. Ok, I said it.

This outcast thing was just a one time thing correct? I mean, they aren't having the outcasts challenge every week? I don't see how they can do that or this year would go on forever.

The Outcast thing was complete crap and a ripoff. Come on. Yeah they haven't had to stuggle, sleep in garbage, get eaten alive, and deal with everything else. I'd be real pissed to have this pulled on me. Completely stupid idea, and damn I was really enjoying this season. And I agree this better be a one of.

Rupert disappointed me last night... using his methods, I guess Shawn could have gotten up after the vote at T.C. and gotten in Rupert's face and scream at him "HOW DARE YOU VOTE FOR ME!!" I assume it's some kind of strategy but his "popularity rating" surely went way down after that mess with Jon.
There must be some kind of editing goin' on with the Jon/Shawn thing. Certainly Jon should have been the one to go. And I thought too that this is a one time shot for the outcast thing. The show would go on and on if they just had a revolving door for those voted off.

I still think Rupert is great. He was mad at Jon. He vented, sure. And it was a bit ugly - for about a minute. But ask yourself, how many of you could be that mad at someone, and then forgive them on the spot? Rupert is a real guy, with real emotions that he doesn't hide (maybe not the best way to win the game). But he is also showing himself to be a class act, IMO.
And as I see it, he is a strong favorite now to go a long way. He has what seems to be a strong trio alliance (a great number). If Drake wins the next immunity challenge, I say they make the final three.

Yeah, drake has the trio as a strong alliance together. Sandra doesn't have the balls to go against rupert and christa is standing by him because of the skirt. the whole keep jon because shawn and burton were close was a good idea. Jon is the one that threw off that vote. no way will burton trust him again. if they do have to go to tribal counsel again next week they can atleast get rid of jon no problem.

Previous posters commented on Jeff's actions at the end of TC--I think we all agree he did the right thing denying any respect whatsoever to Osten. I think Jeff was seriously pissed. That was no act. Osten is a disgrace.
Just to be contrary to my wife, I've been rooting for Jonny Fairplay since the second show. She wants to kill him and almost became physically ill when he survived last night's TC.

The survivor episodes that are now filming for broadcast starting in Febuary are supposed to be comprised of all previous Survivor
players. The prize money will double to 2 million. I wonder if this outcast tradition will continue to the upcoming series. Interesting that when they gave the final words at the end of the show, most of them believe it is going home time although in the past,
they have kept losing survivors around till filming was over so that they would not be seen at home too early. despite the secracy clause in their contract.
