Why is "The King of Queens" a Disrespected Show?
Anyone know? It brings in ratings, but it seems no one talks about it. There's never threads on here about it. It gets no emmy consideration ever. I don't get it. Anyone know for sure? Is it because the family is blue collar?
The show is consistently funny, and it's a great cast from the main characters to friends of the family, etc.

King of Queens is one of the few decent comedies on television today. I discovered it a couple years ago. The cast is great. I was so pissed when they moved it to Wednesday though. The rest of the Monday CBS comedies are crap IMO.

Because it's entirely forgettable. I mean, it's the same old humor week after week. Its a very funny show, but if I spent that same half hour sleeping, I wouldn't know the difference the next morning.

The great thing about KOQ is that they don't even need dialouge to stage a great scene. Heck, just look at the opening teaser scene last night with Doug making OJ, realizing how stupid it is to make OJ, looking at the carton of OJ in the fridge, and finally grabbing a beer.

^^Exactly. I'm not saying it needs undying media attention or anything, but at the same time I just find it very odd that such a good and funny show that pulls in solid ratings still seems to fly under the radar so much.

KOQ is my favorite show on TV right now. I never miss it. In fact I'm having to grab Angel off of Usenet since they're on at the same time, and my digital recorder won't do two shows at once.

Like Movieking, I have said it in many threads, so time for me to jump in and agree 100% that KOQ is the most under appreciated show on television, bar none- I think it is THE funniest show on television- to me, it is so much funnier than the overrated Raymond its comical, and Kevin James blows Ray Romano away as well.......Its the show that gets no respect.......
Can't wait for the season 1 DVD in November....

Ilove this show! the only sitcom I make sure to catch on a weekly basis! The writing is fairly creative and Doug is extremely funny in any kind of situation (phsyical comedy to his dialogue). Arthur is a riot, and all of doug's friends are hilarious when paired up with the right people on the show! I love this show and hope it continues! I think I started watching this the 1st season, might have been 2nd , but i'm not too sure...i've been watching for several years now!
oh, and i'm pretty happy with the wed. move....so i don't have to miss any of monday night football...

Very, very underrated show. Maybe because there are no hot-looking people besides Carrie. Doug may not be hot but he's far from a big fat loser.
I laugh at loud during every KOQ show. I know my sitcoms. Watch 'TGIF' on ABC and notice the difference. The idiots who don't know any better think Friends is a funny show.

It wasn't on against MNF. KOQ was on from 8-8:30 Mondays. MNF started at 9.

The move sucks. This is the only reason I ever watched Raymond or the other crap on CBS Monday, now I do not and am happy to miss. I am just glad CBS did not move it to Thursday night.

Not enough Patton Oswalt.
The little guy cracks me up & he doesn't even have to say a word.

Run, don't walk, if you ever see Patton at a comedy club near you. I'm telling you, he is uproarious. And quite filthy at times
About KOQ, yeah, great show. The writing and chemistry is top notch. I'm glad to see them bringing Carrie's boss back. Was he even on once last year?

I miss Lou Ferrigno. His interactions with Arthur were hilarious.
I was surprised to see Kelly again. I thought the actress permanently left KOQ to do Alias even though she only had a minor role there.

KOQ is one of my favorite shows and it is much better than the overrated Everyone Loves Raymond. I usually find better things to do than watch that. I never miss KOQ.

Why no love for Raymond here? I realize it was overhyped, but I still think ELR is one of the best sitcoms thats come out in the last few years. I find it consistently funny.
I like KOQ too.
