Enjoyable episode last night. The show moved right along even though there was no major plot event among any of the characters (see next week's synopsis). The college drop-out kid wasn't anything special. I did enjoy the stunts Mike and Nancy pulled in order to find out who might be the best guardian for their daughter.
Molly's bf, Tom Wilson (aka Biff) showed up for the first time this season though it appears her mind is now on a new man in her life who introduces her to "real" chinese food, among other things.
But still, no $10 bet, very little Warren P. Cheswick and no Dr. Jerome.

Death, Debt & Dating
A father (Joel Higgins) sues his son (McCaleb Burnett), who's defended by Ed; Mike and Nancy secretly test their friends; Molly is attracted by a stranger (Reg Rogers) with “zing.” Judge Hedges: Karen Mason. William Fish: Richard Thomsen.

Could someone tell me if there are alternatives to catching it..?
Or am I SOL...?

A step in the right direction. Nothing too serious between Ed and Carol. The tests were funny. Using a funnel to put the dead guy's ashes into the golden pin was classic Stubbs. Cracking said pin with ashes in the lane is a little disturbing though.
What about pie? No pie.

Really glad the word "pie" was not said in this entire episode.

You didn't miss much. It was sort of a "fill" epsiode with no cliff hangers, no relationship changes (or development), and no $10 bets.
Check out the thread for more details.

Well, I've broken free - I've finally dropped Ed from my Season Pass. Ed and Carol are together and the show has nothing more to offer me. I may comeback if they bring Stella (
) back for a few episodes, but that's about it. *shrug* It was easier to feel for Ed when he was a lovestruck schmuck. Now, he's just another schmuck in a relationship.

I thought Phil's tribute for Mr. Fish was actually kind of moving.
Mike & Nancy looking for a suitable guardian for their daughter was somewhat funny, but it just seemed odd that no one thought twice about leaving a toddler alone in Molly's office.
Good to see Joel Higgins again, but was there really any resolution to the story?
Okay, you're in a restaurant. At a nearby table sit Carol and Molly. Which one do you zero in on? Yeah, I thought so.
Honk!

I did like the new guy that Molly's hanging out with. The restaurant bit was good anyway

so yeah, because of smallville, I can't catch ed anymore. I'm not too bummed, as this show has lost it for me. Last season was good, and the only stuff i find worth watching is mike, warren and phil /shirley. But warren isn't on it too much anymore.
However, I did catch the scene with ed putting the rope around his ankles....funny funny stuff. I love mike's reactions and acting when he is scheming something....it's so obvious that he is lying/hiding something....GREAT stuff.

As for this episode, it was definitely better than the past few weeks. I found the father/son lawsuit ridiculous on several levels, but the rest of the show made up for it. 21 ball salute.

Much better episode than last week. Although, I'm surprised that we didn't see any resolution between the dad and his kid.

I'm hoping Biff finds out about the new guy and gets competetive over her.

I think this was the first time in a long time that I enjoyed Phil during an episode. His 21-ball salute might be his finest moment. I loved it when he smashed the shit out of Mr. Fish's urn w/ his ball. Great moment on television and only on Ed.
"I'm like a stealth bomber - invisible despite my size."
Mike and Nancy ruled this episode. Also loved it when he brought up pregnancy and pain to Cheswick after ripping his mic off.

Was it just me, or did this episode feel like an unaired one from last season? The "previously" on Ed scenes at the beginning spent alot of time talking about Ed and Carol wondering if they should go forward as a couple, yet the episode had nothing about that- haven't we moved past all of that? I didn't see one thing in that episode that couldn't have been filmed last year.
Unless I missed it, no mention or sign whatsoever of Ed and Carol being together.
