I liked this weeks episode. My biggest problem is that Hawkins never wants to talk to Lodz. You'd think, by this point, he'd want to get some stuff cleared up and Lodz obviously has some important information to share. Hawkins constant refusal to talk seems as silly as Scully telling Mulder that he's being ridiculous for believing in aliens after 8 seasons of seeing crazy shit going down. But I guess he has his reasons, above just being stubborn. I'm sure it'll all come out.
personally I think Hawkins is the most unlikable character in the show..The kid is a real douchebag

I agree. I do love the show, and I don't mind the pacing of it at all, but Ben can be so annoying. IMO, he's the most boring character on the show. Have you noticed how anytime someone says anything to him at all, his typical response is along the lines of "Go blow yourself."

The only problem with the pacing is that the show is already half over. They don't have 22 episodes to work with. We've only got 7 episodes left and Justin and Ben haven't even met yet.

If it turns out that more seasons are guranteed I'll be a little happier, but right now it seems like this epic final showdown between good and evil isn't going to be so epic.

I actually think this is one of the things that will make the show great. You have to remember what Hawkins went through as a child

Spoiler:
Exuming and reviving his dead cat and then living in realitive isolation with his mother (for at least 10 years) who believes at best he is possesed and at worst he is the devil

It is no wonder he is antisocial. I think the show will be redeeming when Hawkins finally overcomes his personal problems and uses his powers to save the world, or whatever may happen...

From what I've read,
Spoiler:
they will never meet.

I don't mind the pace at all. It's nice to have a show that doesn't wrap things up in an hour.

I will, however, be disappointed if what Josh-da-man has to say in his spoiler ends up being true though!

Spoiler:
Same here, but if you'll remember, both on more than one occasion tend to experience these dream-like realities. Just because they don't meet in the flesh, doesn't mean we won't see an eventual battle btwn them in their minds, or whatever you want to call it. Looking at it that way, they actually have already met.

I've yet to hear anything definate about whether this is supposed to be an actual series or just a mini-series. Does anyone have any conclusive info on that?

Right, he had such a horrible, confusing childhood, but wouldn't that be even more reason to confide in someone who actualy seems to understand what he's going through? Telling someone who may have the answer to what's been bugging you your whole life to 'eat shit and die', or whatever he happens to say every time Lodz offers to help, just doesn't seem realistic.
