Need help identifying show based on a comic

Okay, here's what I know about this show. It must've ran sometime between 90 and 97 on Fox (or it was syndicated and ran on my Fox affliate). It was based on a male Marvel character, or maybe a Malibu character. I'm pretty sure the hero snuck around at night being mysterious and righteous, but what hero doesn't, right? I think think he had any super special powers. I never watched the show, but I remember watching promos for it. Thanks in advance.

Mantis? He was sort of a Batman type character. He was crippled but the suit helped him stand. His 'Mantisjet' also helped a lot. Looking back at it, it was very similar to the Batman Beyond Batmobile.

Sounds like "Nightman," based on the Malibu Ultraverse character.

Count yourself as fortunate for not having seen it. It was dreadful.

It was filmed here in San Diego (at least in part) and I caught some overtime doing road block duty for some of the scenes. Word was we could be seen briefly in the show. It was so bad I din't even bother watching.

Thanks guys. Thanks for bringing up Mantis, too. I remember watching the pilot movie for that show.

Dreadful? You people are crazy. This show ruled! I mean ... he played a sax ... and could sense evil halfway across the city. Couldn't he fly too? That's AWESOME!!!

Up until a few weeks ago when I saw it in the TiVo guide, WGN is actually still playing Nightman. Just in case you have to see it.

Let's put it this way...the writers of NightMan thought it was a really good idea to bring in Manimal for a guest shot. Any show that tries to revive Manimal has something seriously wrong with it.

Awful, but unbelievably entertaining. I always made it a point to tune in.
