Justice League -> 10/11 - Only a Dream Part 1 & 2

Not a bad episode, but did anyone else think that Dr. Destiny was the Janitor from Scrubs?!?!

I thought it was the best episode of both seasons. It was smart, used a classic JL villian and the dream sequences were really good.

It's also nice to see John do some different stuff with his ring. It's clear he can do more than just energy beams and shields.

BTW- Duck Dodgers joins the Green Lantern Corps next week.

I didn't know Skeletor was a DC property.

Good episode. It had a ton of good cameos, including the Joker and Lois Lane.

Great episode, I just wish there were more new ones and that they would show them at a more reasonable time than 10pm on Saturday night.

The credits listed Snapper Carr -- was that who Superman was having dinner with in his dream?

That's what Tivo is for.

Great ep, but as noted above, I was wondering what Skeletor was doing there.

Also, Martian Manhunter was much improved. He has some great fight scenes, shape-shifting, size-changing, and such. I always thought they weakened him so much on this series (and Superman too). It was always so annoying to see them getting knocked around like rag dolls. I'm glad to see that in the past couple episodes they seem to have powered up Superman and Martian Manhunter more to the level they should be.

It may of been on one of the JL DVDs, but one of the producers "heard the complaints" and powered up the two for this season.

That was my first thought too.

It was good to see GL finally do something mildly creative with his power ring instead of shooting beams and creating force-fields.

Did Wonder Woman have a date that night?

Yay.

I'm not the only one that was over where Wonder Woman was the whole time.

Overall I thought it was a very good episode. I didn't know anything about the villian as I'm not terribly into superhero comics as they are too hokey.

I have enjoyed the JL episodes I have seen though.

Doctor Destiny looked like that before Skeletor did.

WW was in Themyscira having a bikini wax.

It would be nice if some of them took off their uniforms (at least their masks) once in a while. Apparently this Flash has a secret identity? It seemed kind of stupid to have Hawkgirl on life support and still have her uniform on.

GL did have his costume off in the barber shop at the beginning of the "In Blackest Night"

I didn't believe you, so I looked it up. You're right! First Appearance: Justice League of America #5 (June-July 1961). He pre-dates Skeletor by about 17 years!

And Red Skull too, although the Grim Reaper predates them all.

DD is a baddie alright. A Midsummer's Nightmare is a great JL series- worth picking up in TPB.

What I meant by out of the uniform is on the space station. I think Batman is the only one who has to keep his face hidden (Supes knows he's Bruce, and J'onn must know- in the comics WW knows). It's hard to say if Wally West and Hawkgirl have a secret identity. Wally went public in the comics, and it seems kind of stupid they call her Hawkgirl all the time.

Now if they'd just do more with The Flash, instead of just using him for comic relief.

Anyway, a very solid episode. Always good to see Solomon Grundy, one of my favorite villains, make an appearance. And nice use of Dr. Destiny, a mostly forgotten character. It brought back fond memories of the early "Sandman" stories. (Issues 5-7, I believe. Scary stuff!)

Now who do I have to sleep with to get "Red Bee: The Animated Series"????
