Do Actors get to pick the clips during the opening credits?
Every TV show has clips of the actor/actress during the opening credits - who picks the particular clips we see? If its the show's creators, and the actor/actress doesn't care for the clip, are they told too bad?
For example, The Facts of Life or Dallas - each actor is shown in a clip when they have their name displayed during the opening theme song. Some clips are cool, and some are unflattering. If I were an actor, I'd want to be able to pick a clip. How's it work?

I would assume that it's only the rarest of occasions that an actor has any say on these things. I'm guessing it's either the call of the creator/producer or the network.

Unless the actor is both the star of the show and has creative control (i.e. Larry Hagman on Dallas), an actor has NO say in this, or even which takes of his scenes are used.
That being said, I'm sure an actor could care less about the opening credits as much as he/she would care about the actual scenes of the episode.

I doubt they have any say at all. Maybe some huge star on a show that couldn't work without them might have some say.
I remember SMG cracking a joke about her shots in the opening credits of BtVS. This was back during season 1-2 I believe. Something about the black cat jumping out of the trunk during her name. She woulda had no pull back then. Not that she any after that either. But she kinda made it sound like she had no say in what they showed.
