MATCH #01 - STARGATE SG1 (the most underrated sci fi series ever, great stuff, I'm watching the Season 3 DVD set and can't stop, right up there with Buffy, Doctor Who and Farscape.)
MATCH #02 - BUCK ROGERS (gotta go with Buck here... would love to see it on DVD soon)
MATCH #03 - MONTY PYTHONS FLYING CIRCUS
MATCH #04 - THE AVENGERS (classic!)
MATCH #05 - THE PRISONER (sorry Trekkers, Prisoner is a better written show)

MATCH #01 - STARGATE SG1
I never saw Stargate SG1 (though I liked the movie). Twilight Zone is a classic (though I didn't see too many episodes). It's really hard to vote against Richard Dean Anderson because I absolutely loved the guy as MacGyver. Okay, never mind, I'm changing my answer to Stargate SG1.

MATCH #02 - BUCK ROGERS
I never saw Twin Peaks (except for the occasional trips to the stripclub and when I had a regular girlfriend), but from what I heard I would've probably liked it. Buck Rogers was a childhood favorite and who can forget Erin Gray in those jumpsuits? I loved her on Silver Spoons as well. I wonder if The Ricker ever tapped that ass? Probably not, he was only a kid.

MATCH #03 - AMERICAN GOTHIC
I never saw either show, but if I'm voting US versus Great Britain, you know I have to vote for the Yanks! Just kidding, I'm just voting for American Gothic to piss off all the Monty Python people.


MATCH #04 - THE AVENGERS
Again, never saw either show, but I'm voting for the catsuit. MEOW.

MATCH #05 - STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION
I think I saw a couple episodes of TNG, so I'm voting for it. Never saw The Prisoner.

MATCH #06 - STAR TREK
Lucy Lawless scares me. What do toilet paper and the Enterprise have in common? They both go circling around Uranus searching for Klingons.

MATCH #07 - FARSCAPE
Never saw either show, but I remember how the Farscape fans joined in the when we Firefly fans were pissed off and crying when Firefly got canceled.

MATCH #08 - ROBOTECH
I never saw Lost in Space (though I saw the movie and liked it...yeah, that's right, I liked it. So what?) Robotech is my all-time favorite cartoon/anime. No other space soap opera that I've seen matches it.

The problem with TNG vs. The Prisoner is the huge disparity in length. The Prisoner is almost a mini-series. IMO, while it kicked serious ass, the very best episodes of TNG were in fact better than the best of The Prisoner. On the whole, though, The Prisoner was a cooler concept and was one consistent story. How do you compare that? Can you dismiss 'The Inner Light' because of 'Sub Rosa'? In a way, it's apples and oranges, and as such, I really couldn't cringe by a vote for either show. They're both great, just in completely different ways. If you want to cringe, cringe at the SG-1 votes.
