Friends (10/9/03)
Pretty good episode, I thought.
Ross' first trip to the tanning salon was funny. The second time he went (the place with the dual sprays), the joke had already been milked and wasn't funny anymore.
Stifler's mom (Jennifer Coolidge) was funny when she was leaving the phone message and Phoebe and Monica were talking about her while she was leaving the message. She wasn't very funny in person, though. She was especially ghastful when she was trying to dance.
That scene when Rachel took off her bra was HOT. I like aggressive Rachel, so long as she doesn't knee me in the misters.

I was irritated by the fact that they reused a bad joke. The comment between Joey and Rachel about who paid for dinner: the exact same conversation between Chandler and Rachel when they found that cheesecake.
It's dorky that I would know that, but writers must be lazy if they just rehash lame jokes.

The Ross thing with the spray was alright and the Monica and Phoebe stuff was bad.

i definitely will agree about rachel and her bra. chandler had some good lines and ross was pretty good.
however, i still just can't buy the whol joey/rachel thing. much of last night felt rehashed from years ago when she and ross started going out.

Not a spectacular episode, but definetly not a horrible one either.
Rachel slapping Joey everytime he made his move was funny.
Chandler had some good lines, as always.
Even Phoebe and Monica's lines were good.
I agree about Ross. The first time at the tanning salon was funny, the second was unnecessary and could have filled time with something else.

I'm glad this show is ending - too bad they're running it DEEP into the ground before they close up shop.

I like how they're turning Chandler into the guy who says the wrong one liners at all the right moments.
They could probably do an entire series around Rachel and the bra and I'd watch.
Not a bad episode IMO (at least compared to last year)

I didn't like this episode. Aside from the bra scene I didn't laugh but once and that was when I was anticipating Ross after he was sprayed the first time. Oh well.

glad to see that the Rachel and Joey romantic relationship was finally put to rest.
Ross tanning was funny at first, but I agree - they ran that bit into the ground.
Chandler has had some good zingers the last few weeks.
I was expecting much more out of the Jennifer Coolidge appearance. What a letdown that was.

I don't think anyone should be surprised that they ran the tanning bit into the ground, they tend to do that a lot. But somehow it always seem pretty funny to me.

Yeah, I thought that was by far the best line in the show.

All in all, not a very memorable episode. Ross' tanning plot reminded me of his teeth-shining story from a few seasons back. Totally saw the Joey/Rachel thing not working from a mile away, so that wasn't a surprise at all.
Rachel's nipping out scene.
It was funny, because I was watching this with my gf - who also nips out easily. She said, "See, I'm not the only one who does that."

Jennifer Coolidge was wasted in this episode. Apparently she is getting her own sitcom next year, so hopefully it will be better than this guest shot..

Kind of odd that they played up the possible romance between Joey and Rachel most of last season, and then just ended it. Didn't work anyway.
"You were supposed to count to five."
"Mississippilessly?!?"
Honk!

I liked the stuff between Rachel & Joey (Matt proving once again he's the best actor of the six), but the stuff with Ross was so lame...AND it was a rip-off of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer falls asleep in the tanning booth and his skin turns really dark.
