Sci Fi / Cult TV Tournament : ROUND 1C
Time for the next round of matches!! Vote for your favorites!
a few notes to remember...
- All the placements in matches were picked at random... (I had my friend pick them at random from index cards) so please don't complain that it's isn't fair that show X for a first round match with show Y.
- All the shows in the tournament were nominated... I know some of them aren't true sci fi or cult shows in some peoples eyes, but they were nominated.

No wonder you waited all day to post this. 
Putting us in the position of deciding whether to vote for Freaks and Geeks because it rules or against it because it has no business in this poll ...
then Babylon 5 versus The Family Guy?
and the implied potential next-round match-up of archnemeses B5 and DS9?
Argh. Each of us will approach this differently, but my votes to this point and now from this point will be based on a fairly strict definition of Sci-Fi and Cult, and as such, I won't be voting for great shows like Freaks and Geeks or The Family Guy. They may kick all sorts of ass, but premature cancellation doesn't necessarily make something a Cult show. At best, they're at the very fringe edge of the definition ... IMO. If I don't disqualify them early, I don't know how the hell to make any sense out of my votes. How do I even begin to compare Sports Night to Freaks and Geeks to Family Guy to Babylon 5? You may feel differently, but it's the only way I can make sense of the poll. With that in mind ...

Monkey, sorry it took me so long to post the new matches on Friday, my friend took me out to a all you can eat buffett for lunch and I passed out on the sofa later
I also didn't even notice that the next round might match up DS9 against B5... that should be interesting!!
here's my personal votes...
MATCH #17 - BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER (my favorite new show)
MATCH #18 - HIGHLANDER (the immortal wins)
MATCH #19 - no pick (I have't seen enough of either show to make a pick)

Given that I'll go B-5 over Family Guy, but only with reservation.
21: Hulk - I wouldnt like him when he's angry.
22: Futurerama. X-Files imploded under it's own mythology too much towards the end.
