Since it is on early where I live, I will not spoil anything, but I will say that I thought that Mike was the best thing about this episode (he was hilarious in some scenes). I didn't like the format of the episode (will become obvious very early on), but it is great to have a new Ed regardless.

i liked just about everything about this episode. i had some doubts about ed and carol moving in together so soon, but i thought they handled it well. there were many MANY
moments which was cool. i also thought the writers did the time progression thing pretty cleverly. they made up for the two months of summer just like that and now we should be caught up with current time.

Two weeks in a row where Mike has had the best lines. His statistic, especially those lame Tuesday's, had me laughing my ass off.
The fears I had about the progression of the relationship Ed and Carol moving in so quickly were put aside rather quickly in this episode.

Normally, I dislike gimmick episodes, but this was excellent. I laughed throughout most of the show. The only weak points were with the driver's ed teacher, that was kind of stupid.
Classic Mike here again. "I got 98% of the milk right."
When the big kid got the gastric bypass surgery, did he also have a sex change? What was with that green blouse he was wearing when Warren was punking Molly?
TWICE this episode, once on the tandem bike and once in the car with the driver's ed teacher, Ed went through a stop sign. TWICE!
Some of the camera shots in the documentary would've been impossible with only one camera. Quick cuts and stuff like that.
"What kind of chinmonkey voice is that?"
Phil & Shirley were good for what they did, but this was the couples' show.
One of the best "Ed" episodes I've seen.

Honk!

The scenes with Mike were hilarious. "I'm Janeane Garofalo"
All the stats he had on their sex life was great.
Some of the Ed and Carol stuf fwas either really funny or not very good. Loved the Chinmonkeys.
Other then the Punk'd part most of the stuff with the other characters wasn't that good.

That is going to be a tough one to top. I won't say it was the best episode because there were a couple of doozies just last year, but this was a great one! I even liked the Drivers Ed teacher.
The documentary was a great idea to fast forward through "the honeymoon phase" of the relationship, so they don't have to make the whole season about Ed and Carol. Now they've been living together for a month or two, everyone is used to the idea, life can go on in Stuckeyville.
...and Mike gets the best lines almost every week, not just the last two. He's always been my favorite part of the show.

I LOVED this ep..
i'm thinking from now on, i'll tape Ed and watch Smallville.. [that way I can watch it more than once -- since no one caps it and I don't have the technology..]
this ep was great.
I noticed Ed going through the stop signs too..
LOVED the Phil bits...I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes when he "rescued" the kite in the tree..
Mike & Nancy's exchange about the milk was
..
I really hope they release the early seasons on DVD...SOON.

Oh my goodness that was a funny episode. Chin monkeys!? Sex stats! Mike had some great lines, Phil getting caught in the tree with that ridiculous outfit was hilarious. I really hope they release this show on DVD soon.

just for those who are wondering about the dvd's...right now they are in limbo. from www.stuckeyville.com...
Can I get any episodes on video or DVD?
No. Stuckeyville.Com has been informed by knowledgeable sources that a DVD box set of Ed will most likely not be released until at least a year after the show goes off the air, as it is in their contract.

I missed the first 20 minutes. Why did they decide to move in together?
I didn't really like the "reality show" version of making the story. Stupid moving camera . . Other than that, the rest of the show was pretty good.

Carole's lease was up for her place, and she had Ed read over the new lease contract (a 2 year lease), and he read over it, said it was the standard lease with a 3 month notice buyout, and then Carole suggested (not so surreptiously) that she should move in with him. That got Ed all flustered, but he came around to the idea.

The milk and the switching of the sandwich toppings perfectly illustrated a level of comfort and familiarity that most married couples (should) have. I hope the show is getting good ratings so far this season.

How interesting. I thought the episode was stupid and turned it off after the chin monkey thing, which was just horribly dumb, IMO. I'm not trying to crap on all you who thought it was great; I was just surprised how everybody seems to think it was such a great episode.

And I hate saying that.

I got the chance last night to watch it after recording it to the ReplayTV on Wed - I must say, when it started, I was like, crap, this is going to suck, but as the show continued it really did turn out to be one of the funniest episodes of Ed that I've seen.
Watch Ed and Scrubs in one night and you end up really tired from laughing so much!

i love this show so much and this eps was to be one of the BEST i've ever seen! i was just deliriously happy throughout. chin monkeys creeped me out a bit in the beginning but on the 2nd viewing----i could not stop laughing.
too bad it's opposite smallville (i think ED lost viewers to smallville season premiere).

I think when the writers are putting this show together they take the best lines and put them aside for Mike every week, w/ Eli getting a few of the leftover scraps. Mike has stolen this show from day one. He can deliver a line w/ the best of them. He needs to be nominated for an Emmy.
