I'm With Her

I’m With Her was pretty decent last night, just after 8 Simple Rules. As good as any sitcom starts out, I guess. Cute cast, funny characters. Good premise.

I liked it as well. I really like Teri Polo, and will probably watch this, if I remember that it is on.

Like the cast, like the premise, though the execution was a bit over the top. The "I thought you'd driven away ... for good" thing was an obvious set-up, and the payoff didn't even work. Also, the friend is too much the "sit-com friend" character. I'll watch another time or two, since I very much like Teri Polo (although she's an odd choice for a huge movie star), and Sutcliffe was good, but I'm not holding out too much hope.

If they'd just have the courage to call this "The Brooke Shields Story" I'd pay it more props.

I thought it was so-so. I didn't like either of the two male characters. Teri Polo and her sister were good, though. I'll watch as long as there isn't anything else on (which probably won't be for long).

I just kept thinking "Man, what a ripoff of Notting Hill" even though it was based on the writer's version of his time with Shields.

I thought it was okay. I enjoyed watching Teri Polo, as always, and the interaction between her and the girl who plays her sister were pretty good.

The guy's friend was a little too over-the-top and annoying though.

That's what I was thinking too.

Jokes good, sap way too sweet. The guy is too pretty- they should've cast a more ordinary looking guy, it would have worked better.

That said, the dialogue was excellent. Now if they removed most of the starry eyed crap it would improve greatly.

Too pretty? I thought he looked like crap. I kept thinking to myself, "Geez, this guy is a stranger to the razor." He didn't even shave for the movie premiere.

I liked it. I love Teri Polo, and the guy gets to share in the Gilmore Girls cast member love.

The sister in what amounted to just a few lines really stole her scenes. The best friend is way to sitcom, but at least he's actually funny.

I find myself jaded with sitcoms in general, but this one was pleasant enough that I'll keep watching it (well, taping it).

From what's already been posted here, I'll have to check this show out. I've had a minor crush on Teri Polo ever since she was on Sports Night.

That was the exact same thing my wife said. well sort of,

She looked at me and said "If you didn't shave for an event like that I'd kick you to the curb" her way of saying he is a tool

My biggest fear for this show is that it becomes Dharma and Greg...people from two drastically different worlds thrown together in the first episode, each with their own wacky friend (or relative). It works pretty well for half a season, but then it gets tired...quick.

I say fear because I would very much like for my VCR to have an appointment with Teri Polo every Tuesday. So here's hoping the writers can keep it fresh.

And das was right, its pretty schamltzy, but they also fell in love with each other in one episode, so maybe that won't be such a problem in the future.

Saw the second episode. Teri Polo is pretty freakin' adorable. The first episode was a little funny, but this one got a lot more laughs out of me.

I liked the second show as well. I wish that they would get rid of the sister though. She is annoying as hell. The friend of Patrick is okay...

Teri Polo definitely makes this show watchable.

I also *heart* Teri Polo. Although the guy should be taking care of Lorelai and Rory, not off with some movie star.

So true, so true. Not all fathers can be perfect and see their daughter off to college.

This is a one joke show. I wonder where they're going with it?

If not for the fact that this show airs between 8 Simple Rules and According to Jim, I wouldn't bother with this show. It really isn't very good.

I'll watch one more episode and see if it gets any better. Otherwise, I quit.

Another show killed by a laugh track. Even if it were really funny, I wouldn't be able to tell because of the annoyance.
