Another entertaining hour from the NCIS.

An ordnance field is discovered to be a dumping ground for the mafia, and taking a page out of "The Sopranos" cat-n-mouse games between the mafia and the Feds, NCIS has to get involved in finding the leak in the Feds, else Tobias gets framed for the leak as agent after agent going undercover inside the mafia turns up dead.

This "drama" has more laughs than some comedies I watch. But all the while, it's got a good deal of guile and subterfuge to keep the audience guessing as the episode unfolds. All in all, very good episode.

Another good show. Is this episode after a new one or an old one? I never saw the first season that's why I ask. It just said "Special Episode" in the commercial during the first one.

It was a re-run (I think it was called "The Weakest Link" which sounds like a re-run from this season).

It was from last year. I've seen it.

The new ep was good. McGee/Tony/Kate are turning into my favorite comedy team.

I dunno why, but I like Abby for some reason.

Because she's both funny and hot?

I'm a little foggy on how Jethro knew who it was and how he got shot.

Not clear if he "knew" or was just suspicious. He had agents including a sniper planted at the meet site. Sniper took the guy out either when his actions showed he was "turned" or at a sign from Jethro.

it wasn't the agent's sniper was it? I thought it was the mafia guy's sniper.

Mafia sniper was my first thought as well. He started talkin, and then he stopped! Not sure though since the whole last five minutes went really fast and was very vague.

I also think it was the mafia guy's sniper, from the vehicle. Just after the shot, Jethro said something like "and you lied to me!" which I took to mean that the mafia guy lied about only bringing one extra guy. If that had been a federal agent, the mafia guy would have reacted a lot more, I think.

No idea on how he found out who the agent/spy was, though, although I decided it must be him during that scene just before it was "officially" revealed.

Totally wasn't expecting Tobias to not be dead for some reason, though I was glad to see it.

I love how much Gibbs likes Abby and is usually always so nice to her; even if he does snip at her some too, he always makes up for it.

I didn't stick with this show after a couple of episodes last year, but caught the re-runs over the summer...I'm glad I gave it a second shot, it's really a fun show (another one of those dramas with a lot of comedy).

I know it's just a TV show but in real life the Mafia isn't much for snipers. They're much more a .22 in the back of the head types. Since the whole thing was a set-up , it was probably an FBI or NCIS sniper.

I thought it was a non-mafia sniper (Gibbs isn't stupid). Plus the way he reacted after the mole was shot would indicate that Gibbs had the upper hand in the situation, even without the rope-explosive around Junior's neck.

The looks on McGee, Dinozo, and Kate's faces as Tobias walks by them was priceless.

So do McGee and Abby have something going on? From the 2nd episode of the night, they went out on a "date" but it got kind of awkward.

Let's just say that McGee likes to "re-wire Abby's hotbox." (Actual quote from last week's episode)

And melt down her firewall...

and plug into her server...

No new NCIS for the next two weeks at least (at least according to my Tivo) :(
