My wife and I sat there dumbfounded as they transitioned into the commercial...

"Is the frozen guy coming with you?"

Ed teaching Delinda how to beat up the health inspector was priceless. "There's a nerve right here..."

I have to say it was interesting to say the least - and I think it even remained in HD, which I haven't seen a lot of from commercials. Maybe we just witnessed the start of a new "trend".

God I hope NOT!

Is there anything that Mike can't do? Geez.

B.A. 01-23-06 09:13 PM

That was a classic ep, even though it seems like they can't get LFB out of their system.

Mike was cracking me up in Danny's office as he tried to find a comfortable position in the little chair.

Great bar fight. I love how Chips Ahoy held back until Ed gave him the go-ahead.

What did Las Vegas do to deserve getting a move to Friday night post-Olympics?

I'm concerned.

Anyways, last night as the car was zipping around the track my wife and I were discussing who we thought was driving it. She though it was Sam, I thought it was Ed, then she thought it was Danny and I switched to Delinda. We came to the conclusion that it couldn't be Mary and then the driver got out and too off the helmet and it was Mary.

We laughed!

Dr. Henry Jones, Jr. 02-07-06 09:56 AM

I liked the episode but am also worried about the move to Fridays..

Same here. Although the move will allow me to dvr it in HD.

Red Dog 02-07-06 11:23 AM

Pretty lame episode if you ask me.

I thought it would be Delinda in the car.

TheMovieman 02-07-06 11:47 AM

It was an OK episode, but remember, "Las Vegas" was up against "24". Problem is, what night would be good? NBC is in 4th place behind CBS, ABC and FOX... Thursday @ 9 is out because of "CSI", Wednesday is out because of "Lost", Sunday is out since "West Wing" will be finishing up its run there (although if they actually survive, they could try that slot next season...). That leaves Tuesday, but isn't American Idol on that night?

In the end, "Vegas" wasn't getting very good ratings on Mondays and the only other night to move it to is Friday. Unfortunately, that is a killer for a show that's target audience is 18-25...

No doubt NBC will replace it with a reality show -- I believe "Deal or No Deal" returns after the Olympics. Speaking of which, it's no wonder why NBC is in such dire straights. Are the winter Olympics a ratings grabber?

... and on Friday nights the only competition that it would really have with me is In Justice.

Oh well, looks like Reba will have to take a back seat to Las Vegas.

Red Dog 02-07-06 12:14 PM

I don't really mind the move to Fridays. It is the kind of light/eyecandy television that belongs on Fridays. I don't liken this move to a death sentence.

TOLEN 02-07-06 02:13 PM

Completely off topic. But, I could have sworn that Nikki Cox had a bigger chest when she was on that show with Bobcat a few years ago.

She wasn't wearing any push-up type tops in last night's episode.

TOLEN 02-07-06 02:34 PM

Here is a pic of her from Norm (I think)

I agree, but no one seems to watch Friday tv shows (Threshold, John Doe, Serenity, L&O:Trial by Jury) no matter how good they are.

That's from her WB show Nikki where she was a showgirl married to a wrestler. It was pretty good but only lasted a year and a half.

El Scorcho 02-07-06 05:56 PM

""I think it's one of the challenges that NBC, through all the years of success, is that our tentpoles just stayed in place," Reilly said. "I don't think we were aggressive enough about moving them and creating hammocks and opportunities for new shows."

Reilly acknowledged that Friday has been a weak spot for NBC and other broadcasters in recent years, but emphasized its importance as a promotional beachhead next season when NBC brings NFL coverage to Sunday nights.

"We've been pretty listless all year on Friday night," Reilly said. "We're going to stop giving the competition a free pass on Friday night."

Fun episode last night. I think two things that make this show so great is the chemistry between the actors and the lighthearted feel of the show.

MrX 02-09-06 12:37 AM

NBC hasn't had a hit on Friday since SVU moved.

I thought it was a good episode.
