I like this show and I love the woman on the show. But, ughhhh I hate Lara Flynn Boyle. She's literally a stick figure. Plus, did you see all those freckles she had when she was on Conan?

I hope she doesn't get much camera time. Stick with Vanessa, Molly and Nikki.

maingon 09-19-05 08:20 PM

Lara Flynn Boyle looked pretty hot when she was walking towards Danny. So far I am liking the change. Casino feels alot bigger. This has always been a great show for HD :)

I read something that said it takes up 6 soundstages or something. That's freaking nuts.

Hasn't been on here, yet, so I won't read any of the posts yet, but I just checked TV Guide.com and it says that this will be reaired on 9/27 on TNT. I don't trust this, though so I'm definitely tuning in tonight.

Big & Rich and Cowboy Troy!!!

Great to have this show back... and LFB wasn't as bad as I thought.

Sad to see that...
Spoiler:
Nessa is gone.... poor Mikey.

B.A. 09-20-05 08:17 AM

All I see when LFB is on screen is that upper lip - it looks like someone punched her in the mouth once or twice. Stupid colagen (sp?). -ohbfrank-

Otherwise, I was somewhat glad to have the show back, even though it felt like they resolved the events going on in the ep a little too fast.

Was it me or did the show seems to have a different feel and tone; music, background, etc? It just didn't seem the same.

Certainly not one of the better episodes.

The music sucked (at least the guest stars anyway) and the show seemed to take itself a little too seriously. Also, LFB is completely out of place - the women of the cast are all good looking in their own particular way - and she's not.

jonw9 09-20-05 08:55 AM

I noticed during the intro that the music was foreground and you couldn't really hear what was happening. I am jst glad James Caan is still there.

I totally flaked and fogot to record this on the DVR. :( Any idea when it might repeat?

Look up some. Glad to see this back, but I didn't like the episode. It counted too much on things that happened during the span of the finale and the premier, yet we have no idea what happened. Didn't like Danny going around trying to round everyone up. Don't like LFB or her character.

The best part of the episode. The thought of Vanessa Marcil being topless (if only she faced the camera).

Sorry Phil. Force of habit. IMO, it wasn't a great episode, though. So I don't think you missed much.

I liked the music. I would have never thought of blending country, hip hop, and southern rock, but it worked pretty well.

I hadn't realized Marsha Thomason was leaving the show, so I kept waiting for her to walk into the Montecito. Hopefully, she'll come back for one episode some time so she can at least give some closure to her character.

I wonder how long Mary is going to be a housewife before she decides she has to get back in the action.

The musical guest wasn't the problem. I was talking about the background music throughout the show.

It's great the new season's on... Huge fan of the show, as someone said, it's a great HD show.

The first episode seemed a little rushed, and filled with details... But I'm not complaining, it's kinda expected for the first couple episodes. So they cen set up storylines, and all the characters...

I'd give it a 3 1/2 out of 5 for the opener. They kept it fun, which this show always was.

Interesting that TNT is reairing the new episodes... I saw some ads on the station and thought they'd just syndicated the first two seasons. But apparently not.

Country, hip-hop & southern rock... Sounds like something Kid Rock would do...

I was definatly suprised Nessa wasn't gonna be on... But I think with this new identity/relocation angle, she won't be showing up this season. Unless they run out of storylines...

No, the question is how long it will be before she's start yearning for Danny again.

MrX 09-20-05 04:23 PM

ok episode.

Is it me or does Nikki Cox look like she's following Laura Flynn Boyle's diet plan. The twins look like they've shrunk some.

Laura Flynn Boyle's bad collagen job is distracting.

Ed's answer for how he knew thew casino would be hit was pretty far-fetched, atleast they admit they couldn't use the facial recognition software to see through the masks.

Tazwolff 09-20-05 05:20 PM

Ok this is just lame now. They’ve turned this show into a bad SNL skit. Musical guest, crazy midget, and a funky white man trying too hard to look like he can dance. It’s bad enough when they have to bring in the crazy midget, but damn man can we please not have anymore white men dancing?

El Scorcho 09-20-05 05:35 PM

I can't wait until Big & Rich fall off the face of the earth. I'm tired of hearing their god damn big song in every rock bar/karaoke bar I'm in.

Patman 09-20-05 06:46 PM

If LFB looks heavier than Nikki Cox, you know you have problems with your weight.

spainlinx0 09-20-05 06:58 PM

Boy that joke about white people not knowing "black slang" hasn't gotten old at all has it? Dope? That's obscure slang?

movieking 09-21-05 06:35 AM

I like Big & Rich, but I wished they played some more of their songs instead of Cowboy Troy. Oh, and his music is called "Hick Hop" ;)

So do we know that Mary is actually married? They made numerous references to her white picket fence, etc, but I can't remember specifically saying she was married. I might have missed it though.

No more Vanessa. As I posted in the last thread for Las Vegas, she just decided not to comeback. No big loss in my opinion.

The show was off because there is so much bad blood between them all starting off, IMO. Danny and Mary are off, Ed and Delinda are off, Mike lost Nessa, Danny's father died, Sam didn't want to come back, etc.

How much time has past since the season finale? I know that it was mentioned, but I can't remember.

B.A. 09-21-05 07:04 AM

movieking - six months.
