I think he said 52. Actually I think Damon screwed up his joke...I think he INTENDED to say 2 - implying Doris was still in her 50's - but instead said 52, implying Doris is well into her 100's!

Must have been that hat preventing proper circulation of the brain.

I think that it was 52 as well. No doubt that he didn't write it, but there was no need to go ahead with it. It was in bad taste, IMO.

Posted by someone on another web-site, regarding Bill Cosby:

Ah...so the creator of FAT ALBERT, a beheamoth of a kid who communicates to
everyone speaking JIVE...

...and RUDY, effectively a sneaky PIMP who struts down the street like a
PEACOCK and plays basketball in some RED GATORS...

...and MUSH-MOUTH, who's LIPS ARE SO BIG HE CAN'T SPEAK CLEARLY...

...and all the "Cosby Kids", who play in a JUNKYARD, RARELY ATTEND SCHOOL
and always get in other people's business...

...the PHD in education who lost his own kid to the dangers of drugs and
crime while he told everyone else what to do with theirs...

...and finally the leader of one of the most draconian FARM SYSTEMS for
television production, where careers were contingent upon adherence to HIS
ONEROUS and MYSOGNYSTIC STANDARD of PERSONAL CONDUCT...

...gets on national television and CLOWNS his BLACK SISTER, who has
struggled in the business for over a decade , in front of the WHITEST
ESTABLISHMENT SINCE THE BUSH FAMILY REUNION.

Fcuk him and everything that ever came from him. It isn't 1965 anymore,
arrogant jerk.

I thought that was hilarious.

And obviously written by someone who knows NOTHING about the contribution Bill Cosby has made both to the entertainment industry and society.

"Nothing"? Hardly. Cosby is well-known to use his influence to blacklist (pardon the pun) Black performers who do not meet his personal standard of moral conduct. His positive contributions do not make such things untrue.

Wanda was generally annoying.

I was actually impressed how she manged to elicit sympathy for Larry David, a generally unsymapthetic fellow. She just kept going on and on with him, untill he said "I wouldn't have come if I'd known you were going to talk to me."

Geez. Who hired her?

Well, she has been on a number of Curb your Enthusiasms, so obviously they have some sort of relationship together.

Regardless of what Cosby has done, on Emmy night, it was overshadowed by his negative attitude and rude comments to Wanda Sykes. Regardless of who she is, it is not good behavior for anyone, including someone who holds himself as a role model, to try to belittle someone in front of their peers and millions of people watching on TV.

Exactly. Which is why I found the comments about Fat Albert to be very funny. Cosby looks down on other black performers he finds demeaning to his race, yet Fat Albert was full of negative racial sterotypes-- a fact I had never seen pointed out before.

I still remember Eddie Murphy's bit in "Raw" about how Bill Cosby called him up and lectured him on swearing in his act. He asked Richard Pryor for advice who said:

"Tell Bill to have a Coke and a smile and shut the fcuk up!"

I may hear nothing funnier in my lifetime than Eddie Murphy impersonating Richard Pryor impersonating Bill Cosby.

Cosby may be the only person to receive a PhD for an extensive study and analysis of his own work. Who's to tell him that he's wrong?
