well said!

Jackass! is hellarious. These modern-day court jesters are being total friggin' idiots for our pleasure, and getting paid well to do so. The moran in Australia did it for free. Thanks, firecracker-in-the-ass dude!

He isn't a Jackass...he's a dumbass. You can't blame TV for what dumbasses do. If you could, we would have nothing good to watch. Should they ban Superman, too? How many kids have jumped off of the roof of their house or some other high place trying to fly? If he is 26 and doesn't realize that putting firecrackers in your butt is a bad idea, then something is seriously wrong with him, and like a lot of other people have said...it's just Darwinism at work.

Kramdenfan,
What is even sadder with that kid burning down his trailer. Was not that Beavis said "fire". But, that a mother would leave her 4 year old home alone without any supervision.

I think more should be done to encourage small explosives being shoved up asses.

I agree. It would save more gerbils.

Well, on a more positive note: Maybe this guy will be nominated for this year's Darwin Award?

PS - Dang, forgot that people have to actually be successful in offing themselves to qualify for the Darwin Award. :(

Furthermore, didn't the Jackass guys stick a bottle rocket in their butts? From what I remember of that scene (unless they did this on the show as well) the stick of the rocket was in his butt, but all the explosive elements were externally located.

Yep, nobody, not even on jackass, in their right mind would stick firecrackers in their butt cracks, or anywhere else. All they did was light bottle rockets out of their bung hole, which while kinda gross is probably about the same as holding the bottle rockets to launch them, which is a fairly common practice.

Technically speaking, I am pretty sure he can still have sex. It just won't be with a woman, and he won't be on top.

As for people dying, I did see a reference to an 18-year-old freshman at Tiffin College (in Seneca County, Ohio), who was trying to imitate a Jackass stunt and rode in the back of a pick-up truck, set a chair on fire, threw it onto the roadway. He then either fell or jumped while being videotaped by his friends. County officials said the youth died from massive head injuries.

And remember when the movie "The Program" came out (1993)? There was a scene where the kids were laying in the middle of a country road at night, to see how close the cars would come to them or something. This scene was copy-catted by real-life teens, and three were killed (plus two critically injured) in Pennsylvania, Texas, New Jersey, and New York. Touchstone Films responded by deleting the scene from all prints.
