Snyone caught the commercials for this yet? I'm not sure what to think of it, yet. Kinda looks like a series version of Romeo & Juliet, or even of Crazy/Beautiful. Anyone looking forward to it, or somehow seen it early?

I am definitely looking forward to it but I think FOX is making a big mistake putting it up against MNF and NBC's Las Vegas (which I also think is a programming mistake).

just a bump that it starts tonight. Even though it seems that there's a bit of overacting, and some cheesyness, the chick for the show looks hot at least.

Wow, I wish it was that easy to pick up a gorgeous looking chick. But I guess in the world of Bruckheimer anything is possible

I am extremely disappointed in this show. It doesn't even have a fun cheesy quality. The acting is subpar by EVERYONE. The dialogue is painful to listen to, and you know there is a problem when you can't even make the porn industry entertaining. I cannot even put into words how unfun this show was. I usually can watch anything, but it was just so bland that I doubt I will even give it a second chance.

I thought it was decent. I thought Ron Silver did a pretty good job channeling Al Pacino.

BTW, for those of you "in the know" (and you know who you are!), the following porn stars had cameos last night:

Asia Carrera
Monica Mayhem
Aria
Aurora Snow
Jessica Drake

The posters on the wall in the Golden offices are actual adult movies from Wicked Pictures.

Isn't that pretty much all Ron Silver does? Seems like he's the guy you call when you can't afford Pacino.

I liked the show. It started off a bit slow but then it picked up towards the end. I think this show has a lot of potential, true the romeo juliet thing is there but two powerful families going head to head could make for some interesting tv. Remember when Star Trek Next Generation came out people thought it was bland at first but as it rolled the characters were fleshed out more, this I expect will be the same for this show. I am looking forward to it.

I really liked it. I can't wait for the Christian Conservative groups to slam this show because the porn king is portrayed as the sympathetic good guy and the Law (in the form of the DA) is the bad guy.

The girl looks look a lot like the female Terminator.

Jessica Drake
Yeah - I caught Asia and Aria.

I noted that Russell Mulcahy (of Highlander fame) directed this pilot.

I thought the new spin on "Romeo and Juliet" was entertaining with some of the funniest melodramatic dialogue heard/spoken in some time on TV.

The guy playing Adam's dad, Michael, (Kevin Anderson) totally gets upstaged by Ron Silver, even though he's a bit more bombastic, arms-flinging-drowning manner.

I'll tune in again.

Anyone know if FOX plans on re-airing this pilot? I forgot about it last night.

I think the show has some great potential. It started out slowly, but picked up at the end. I thought Ron Silver did a great job too.

I'll tune in next week.

Kevin Anderson's character is such a caricature. He's clearly there just to rant and rave against Ron Silver. Why not have him be a real person so we can sympathize with both sides? Who do I side with, the dope or the weasel? Silly.

It was Aria, NOT Aria Giovanni...she was on the table dancing with Asia Carrera and Monica Mayhem. Aurora Snow was one of the girls dancing in the club, and Jessica Drake was in the office on the couch in the yellow dress talking with Ron Silver about doing a Girl/Girl scene.

Aria:

Anyone else who watches Real World think the porn daughter seemed like a combination of 1/3 Rachel from Back to New York and 2/3 Julie (I'm guessing on this name, but she was the Mormon) from New Orleans. For part of the time I could have swore that it really was Julie.

It wasn't really her looks that got me mixed up, it was more of her attitude and voice mannerisms than anything else. I do a lot of multi-tasking and was actually doing some homework while watching, so I pay much more attention to the dialogue than the visuals.

I'm more into staring at the hottie in 480p on Fox's EDTV broadcast.

I liked this show. I liked the kids...I actually really liked that they were cheesy with each other, it was sweet and believable. As for the parents, they are making his father (The DA) a little too easy to hate. I mean, the guy has no redeemable qualities AT ALL...he's just an a**hole ALL the time! So I think they should make him a slightly more sympathetic character. I definitely think it has great cheese/drama/sex/funny potential...I'm watching!
