Let's stop the squabbling.
I'm not sure why some people are surprised, and even possibly upset, that in an "appreciation" thread, there is an extremely high volume of posts that mention the post writer's appreciation of the subject of the thread.
Lastly, never let it be said that I'm not one to take suggestions from forum members.
Hey, das... been working out? You look good, buddy!

I appreciate Static Cling's explanation.
And I apprecaite das Monkey's superior TV knowledge. If I was ever a contestant on "Who Wants to Be A Millionaire", I would have das as one of my lifelines in case there was an obscure TV question.

About das Monkey
PS: Everyone realizes "das" = "the", right? Just sounds strange people posting to "the".

I listen to everyone's opinions on what shows to watch on this board, but whenever das raves about a program it automatically goes onto my must-see list. I can't think of higher praise than that.

• Quoth Chew •<HR SIZE=1>There seems to a trend lately about das threads without any das in them. <HR SIZE=1>Sorry ... just got home about an hour ago after two of the longest days ever.
• Static Cling •<HR SIZE=1>Lastly, never let it be said that I'm not one to take suggestions from forum members. Here ya go, Sir Cling ... I'll turn around for you. And if by "working out" you mean "subsisting on nachos and Code Red," then yes ... yes I have.
Hey, das... been working out? You look good, buddy! <HR SIZE=1>
This person is on your Ignore List. To view this post click [here]
• BoatDrinks •<HR SIZE=1>I heard the raccoon's name was "Artie." <HR SIZE=1>Close ... Artie died last year in a bizarre accident at Richard Gere's birthday party.
• Numanoid •<HR SIZE=1>He makes it all up - cuts and pastes from a variety of TV websites. das actually lives in a small cabin in the woods of Montana with nothing but the Internet and a small raccoon named "Jeb" for company. <HR SIZE=1>Closer ...
• jkingfish •<HR SIZE=1>That you are actually a large cadre of underground vigilants set to sway the public mind? Believe me folks, I've seen the operation first hand and it is a well oiled wheel bent on the betterment of televised entertainment and the pursuit of increased Code Red revenues. Teams of donkeys could not pull the weight of responsibility the 'association' has devoted itself to. It is a grand and noble society based in secret and iconocized as a man. We all owe a debt of gratitude to the tireless efforts of the 'Monkey'. <HR SIZE=1>Bingo. Way to ruin my secret. Since the cat's out of the bag, here's a photo of me with some new recruits:
It's a bit dated, though (recent photos are classified) ... I've lost some weight since then and trimmed the 'fro.
• palebluedot appears from beyond the grave •<HR SIZE=1>I just don't like the guy...just something about him. <HR SIZE=1>Probably the smell. No time for hygene ... Adult Swim is on. Long time ... how's life?
• Copenhagen take friendship too far •<HR SIZE=1>das has turned me on<HR SIZE=1>Woah now!
• Bandoman awaits season 4 ... and waits ... and waits ... •<HR SIZE=1>If it weren't for das, I wouldn't have taken an interest in B5. Now I'm hooked. I spent myhard-earned money on the first 3 seasons, and I have to buy the rest. Damn you, das! Damn you straight to hell! <HR SIZE=1>Heh heh heh
• Wizdar resurrects an oldie but a goodie •<HR SIZE=1>das is smart. das will make us go. <HR SIZE=1>

The, dude, that is so me!!! (with the exception that I actually know what ".com" means, unlike a certain Aussie poser who stole my nick a little over a year ago ).
• BizRodian •<HR SIZE=1>Now replace Das with Dad. <HR SIZE=1>How many times must I tell you: just because your mom stays at my house don't make me your daddy! Now go to your room.
Now for the sentimental crap ...
Spoiler:
In closing ...
das
P.S. How about the thread be renamed the "TV Talk Appreciation Thread" so we can talk about all the aspects of TV Talk that we each appreciate?

• Quoth Static Cling •<HR SIZE=1>That last monkey is flipping us the double bird and, at the same time, making an obscene gesture with his back paws. Was that intentional? <HR SIZE=1>
No ... I posted it because I thought he had a nice smile. You should get your mind out of the gutter.

you'll be happy to know that due to your continued promotion of West Wing, I caught a few episodes in the past week...and I like em. I've seen the show before and thought it was good, but nothing special. I'm into politics (as anyone who reads Other can tell), but was put off by what I heard was a pretty blatent liberal slant to the show. Well, I watched a few episodes recently and the show is really good. Liberal, but not overbearing, just goes with the Dem president. I think I might have to add this to my Tivo list.

Das, thank you for being here. I usually follow your advice when it comes to watching certain shows, or not watching them. I am now going to queue Babylon 5 on my Netflix because of you.
I am in the middle of season 2 of Buffy, and I would have never watched if it hadn't been for you.
Das, thank you!
(how's that for butt kissing!)
