Even though it wasn't real, the episode of Batman TAS where Barbara was having a nightmare about Bruce and Tim being hunted by Gordon is pretty intense.
The episode of Family Guy where Peter is being a sanctimonious ass (more than usual) towards Brian, and Brian says, "I'll be out on the veranda, since you're already on the cross." I think I nearly cracked my jaw on the floor with that one.
And when Bart is trying to hatch the eggs in his treehouse, it's nice to see a glimmer of humanity in him.

What's that old Looney Tunes with the great big, burly bulldog "adopting" a teeny-tiny cat? The dog loses it when he thinks the cat got turned into a cookie. When the dog scolds the cat and the kitty just purrs and makes a bed in his flab is a neat little emotional moment. I think it's called "Pet the Kitty", or something like that.

In Batman:TAS, thought the Mr. Freeze intro episode was great and pretty moving. Even my sister in law, who doesn't like batman or animation, saw it and at the end said "that is sooo sad".
There were other great moving moments in Batman :TAS though.

The one that got to me as a kid was "I am now...an Autobot!". Y'know, from that Skyfire/Jetfire episode. There are more recent ones from B:TAS and The Simpsons, but that's the earliest one.

I think most of these have been supplied by The Simpsons.
The one that impressed me the most is the one where Homer is telling the story of when Maggie was born:
The most amazing thing to me is how the entire episode of was goofy and silly, and just in the last five seconds, with one shot, they switched gears into something terribly touching, and actually brought a tear to my eye.

Second episode of Stand Alone Complex, the final scenes.
Jesus Christ yes. I mean oh my ****ing god, it's like why? why? why? why? I couldn't belive it.
The ending for Leela's heritage episode did it to me too.
I've only seen like 10 episodes of Futurama, but if there are more like this, then hats off to them. The Simpsons, even though it used to have touching scenes, never even went that far.
