Has anybody else noticed that Stone Phillips' convulsive head nod is strikingly similar to the head nod we see from time to time from Hyacinth in Keeping Up Apperances?

It's also very similar to the Stephen Colbert head nod.

Or any of The Daily Show's other pseudo-reporters. They have the narcissistic newsperson affectations down to a science.

I think Phillips nods his head to forestall complete facial ossification. Either that, or there's a mirror behind the camera and he's indicating his approval.
