... It's frustrating that we never get to see what was next.

The unaired 6 episodes of odyssey 5 were shown in Canada and the U.K.

That was the season finale. TNT is showing it on the the 25th of this month.

Ah, if you'd only seen our episode called "The Frozen Zone."

;)

:) I was hoping to hear from you. It's frustrating to know that no matter how hard I try, there's probably something slipping through the cracks. It would certainly help if someone would like to finance a TV-watching grant for me so I could quit my job. Even then, I still probably wouldn't watch Becker. ;)

#40 - #31 are up and in "countdown" order as requested.

OK, I knew I missed most of the finale but didn't realize that was it. I started the ep but couldn't finish it (I get queasy around dead baby storylines). I'll psych myself up and set the PVR for it.

Venusian 08-14-03 07:36 AM

from the other thread...

regarding 31-40....

woohoo! 2 shows I watch made it this time.

also, two shows I thought sounded good and I planned to watch but never really did. Mr. Sterling had me interested, but I never watched it. So I guess the show didn't make it? I've heard great things about Alias and I've watched parts of it, but I need to start from the beginning so i know whats going on.

and as an added bonus, i've heard of all of the ones on this list

btw, we better see more 24 and The Shield :p

Thanks. I saw your other post, so you can delete it too.

Apologies if I didn't explain the purpose of the second thread properly. Our friendly neighborhood Administrator suggested I do it that way.

Venusian 08-14-03 07:45 AM

convince the admin to rename this thread with a Discussion at the end so people know where to go. although most will probably figure it out now.

Venusian 08-14-03 07:46 AM

oh and if they could stick this one...or that one...or both, that'd be swell too :)

Doughboy 08-14-03 03:23 PM

I definitely wouldn't rank Buffy's "Storyteller" in the Top 50. I can think of at least 7 or 8 episodes last season that were far superior to that one.

Plus, isn't this supposed to be a list of "dramatic episodes"? "Storyteller" was way too satirical and tongue-in-cheek IMO.

List them, please. 7 (or 8) episodes that are far superior.

'Storyteller' addresses
Spoiler:
how Andrew murdered his best friend and how he has to accept that it's not some "story" but the horrible reality of what he did. No matter how he dresses it up, he's a murderer. This is also the episode where Anya and Xander ultimately arrive at peace with their relationship. Oh, and Wood tries to kill Spike. What begins as a light-hearted joke with Andrew all dressed up for Masterpiece Theater ends with him seriously and painfully addressing the camera, alone in the bathroom, without fanfare or catch-phrases, finally acknowledging what he's done. The episode closes with him starting to form a sentence and then just shutting the camera off in shame. I don't see how one could say this isn't a dramatic episode.

How frequently do you think you'll post them all? Are we going to have to way a long time to find out the rest? I'm looking forward to them so hopefully we get them soon.

Good list Das.

I'm trying to get each group of 10 out by the next morning. Hopefully I can keep that up. Although, I'd kind of like to delay the inevitable outrage over my #1 (and possibly my whole top 10) as long as possible. ;)

List them, please. 7 (or 8) episodes that are far superior.
Lessons, Beneath You, Selfless, Conversations With Dead People, Dirty Girls, Chosen.

I would've also included Him, but that one's all comedy.

alias season 2 ending spoiler, youve been warned

Spoiler:

can you clear something up, in alias (I got it on tape and can confirm it, doesn't Syd shoot Francie in the arm three times, and then the weird **** happens. I don't remeber anything about killing her with the glass (that may have been Francie killing the other guy)

I am not speaking of the actual spoiler, but you don't know how to use the spoiler? I swear I thought I saw a few posts from you that have the spoiler brackets used.

On topic:

Das keep 'em coming. Although I thought you would have Blackout much higher. i would have.

Glad you put the NYPD Blue ep in there.

Spoiler:
She doesn't "kill" her with the glass, but that's how she gains the advantage in the fight. If I recall, Francie throws her across the bedroom into a mirror, Syd sinks down against the wall, Francie reaches for the gun to finish her, and Syd quickly grabs a broken chunk of glass and slashes Francie's throat. As Francies stumbles back from the blow, Syd grabs the gun and fills her with bullets.

Reading the next 10 has me missing Firefly all the more. :(

Venusian 08-15-03 06:52 AM

 I aint seen none of those!

Either I don't watch enough TV, or you just don't want me to participate in the discussion.

btw, bets on how many Enterprise episodes we'll see on the list? ;) ... or are they all the top 10?

That's it!! das is trying to delay the top 10 and any "outrage over #1" because number 1 is A Night in Sickbay!!

I can die content now......
