So, you're calling in sick tomorrow?

Cruelty is never on my list of things to do. Relentless teasing, on the other hand, is not beyond me.

But, since I’m getting a “Ya, know, I’m getting a bit tired of this [stuff]” feeling about this (and, yes, sometimes a 2-by-4 is required to get my attention), I’ll do my best to mend my ways in the future.
Spoiler:
"You see. It's like I always say, you can get more with a kind word and a 2-by-4, then you can with just a kind word."

Don't worry, Wizdar, I'm not getting sick of the teasing. I understand it a little better now after watching only 2 seasons, and I'm sure I'll get an even better appreciation for it very, very soon.

We still love you Bandoman.

How bought if I drop the last h on each word...

he he he

That way you are being teased only 2/3 as much???

Actually, we're all just jealous that you get to experience this for the first time...

Very true about the jealousy.

I saw it when it first aired. No hype, nobody to build me up and then not disappoint me.

And, I had to wait till next week for the next episode…

(BTW, Bando, there’s no spoiler in the quote above. But it does come from the 3rd season.)

And it's one of my favorites too.

Granted, this show is full of great quotes.......

I'm jealous because not only does Bandoman get to experience B5 for the first time but you get to experience S3 a full week before I do

Life is so not fair

You can heh, heh, heh me all you want. I'm another convert to B5 via DVD. I picked up season 3 today and managed to watch the 1st episode already. I loved the opening bit with Sinclair Sheridan and Kosh
Spoiler:
Kosh:"I have always been here."
Sinclair:"You said the same thing about me."
K:"I know."
S:"I really hate it when you say things like that."
K:"Good."
...from memory, so sorry if I got the wording wrong. I'm not searching for quotes online as that could risk running into spoilers.

EDIT: fixed character name mistake...

Looks like you have a pretty good memory:

Spoiler:
"You know, I just had a thought. You've been back and forth to your homeworld so many times since you got here, how do I know you are the same Vorlon? Inside that encounter-suit you could be anyone."
"I have always been here."
"Oh yeah, you said that about me too."
"Yes."
"I really hate it when you do that."
"Good."

You know, I've seen the whole thing, I really only "get" about 50% of the quote.

"Getting" it depends on how many times you've seen the whole thing. Once just ain't enough, IMHO.

The only thing is, you got the name wrong. It was Sheridan.

But a good quote nonetheless.

Well, I'm off to Costco to get S3 - and then a long commute home and all the B5 goodness I can squeeze in this evening.

I've already seen them all - but my roommate hasnt. It's like watching it all over again through him. Ah, it's going to be good when he gets to the middle of the season. . . .

..watched the first 3 episodes last night. The first was really good, the second was okay, the third was good. I'm looking forward to things kicking into high gear around episode 8 (as you people tell me it will).

The thing I love about this show is that there are absolutely no "throwaway" episodes (so far). Even the not-so-good, non-plot-central (non-"wham") episodes contain important information nuggets which are useful later on.

What's even better: even some of the "throwaway" episodes turn out to contain important information once you complete the series. If JMS wrote the script it's important. Granted, that covers nearly 90% of the series, but you see my point.

BAH! A pox on my friend! He'd rented the import remake versions of The Ring over the weekend, and kept it a day late because I couldnt watch it. So here I get home late (time enough for either the movie or B5 before I go to bed), expecting him to have returned the movies, and him saying "Good! You're here! Now we can watch Ring!"

"But. . . but - Babylon 5!" I stammer.

"Dude, I kept this movie an extra day just for you."

-=argh! unable to resist guilt ray! Cant. . . fight . . . against it!=-

So, I didnt get to watch my discs because of some stupid overdue rental. Argh!

El-Kabong - that man is not worthy to be your friend. You should have given him the money for the late rental fee, kicked his ass, watched a few episodes of B5, kicked his ass some more, then watched more B5.

Hmmmmm, sounds like a latent telepath to me. You might want to call Psi-Corps, I'm sure they'll remove the problem for you. Then you can concentrate on your priorities.

Hmmm - someone remind me the first three titles of the third season - want to compare my memory to the comments on "very good", "so-so", "good"...

I mean, Grey 17 is near the end of the season - oh, wait, that would be "what was he thinking"?

OK. Maybe Gray 17 Is Missing wasn’t all that great. But when you consider how many “filler” episodes there were (as in, count them on one hand and still have fingers left to scratch your butt?)…

The only one that I really consider “filler” was just shown today: “A View from the Gallery.” And, for some reason, I kinda like that one.

The first three episode titles?

1. Matters of Honor (which guest starts the cool Tucker Smallwood)
2. Convictions
3. A Day in the Strife
