The former Ralph Malph has appeared in several TV series and theatrical movies since leaving the Happy Days cast in 1980 (his contract was done and it was his decision not to go back - he felt the scripts weren't going anywhere and were stagnant and wanted to do more as an actor and not play just only that one character). In 1980 he appeared in the comedy-drama 'Leo & Loree' with fellow Happy Days star Linda Purl (and directed by the late Jerry Paris who directed many Happy Days episodes). In 1983, he was the voice of Eric (Cavalier) on the Dungeons & Dragons animated series. Several years later, in 1987, he appeared in the movie Stewardess School. He has also appeared in episodes of CHiPs (1982, he plays a punk rocker whose life is in danger), Murder She Wrote (1986 and 1990), Baywatch (1993), Sliders (November 1996), and Dark Skies (5/31/97). In 1993, he appeared in the movie Acting on Impulse which starred C. Thomas Howell and Linda Fiorentino. In 1995, he joined a touring company of "Grease" playing the role of disc jockey Vince Fontaine. He has also done some other acting in and directing of theatrical work in the Los Angeles area. He appeared on a Jenny Jones show in December '97 (Past sitcom stars). In April of 1998, he appeared on Diagnosis Murder along with other Happy Days cast members Erin Moran and Pat Morita in the episode "Food Fight". He made his feature directing debut with an independent film entitled The Last Best Sunday (Marion Ross is in the film, in a small, but important role). The film was at The Seattle International Film Festival and it was the feature film winner at the Telluride Indiefest. It also appeared at the San Francisco Indiefest, the Sarasota Film Festival, and the Marco Island Film Festival. He had a role in Ron Howard's EDtv movie which came out in March 1999. Also in 1999, he appeared on 2 episodes of the syndicated tv series called, "The Crow - Stairway to Heaven" where he played the role of Dr. John Dorsett. He met his wife, Morgan Hart, during the filming of a Happy Days episode. They married in 1982 and have two children. He is said to be a pretty good golfer, he plays in some celebrity golf tournaments.
