But as soon as they put on weight, "What happened to this actresss?", "Mooo", "Lay off the cheeseburgers lady!"
One actress who's gained some weight since she first burst onto the scene is Eliza Dushku. And I personally think she looks better now than she did back when she was originally cast as Faith.

Look at her jaw line (one of several things that looks....altered)....Dr. Giggles must do well with his practice.
I wonder why we as a society still accept the altering of natural beauty.

I missed her on Letterman, but I did catch her on MTV's Diary this weekend. I thought she looked amazing, maybe a little bit too skinny but definitely not Calista Flockhart skinny. I thought she also had an amazing personality on the show, and now IMHO I think she is one of the coolest actresses out there today.

What do you want, a big huge fat nasty butt like J Lo?
I thought she looked great and sexy. Americans have gotten so fat that whenever they see a nice thin woman they assume they much be anorexic or sick... in europe almost all the women look like that... are they all anorexic over there?

I, for one, would gladly do both J-Lo AND Brittany Murphy. Heck, even at the same time.

I have never cared for her much but I thought she gave a strong performance in "Spun". Since you guys are talking "racks" so much, I'll just mention that In "Spun", I liked John Leguizamo's package in the sock

Hmmmm, this is an interesting thread! I think she is a total knockout... and when I saw her on Letterman I didn't think of the word "skinny" at all. I really like her personality AND looks.

Well, I think she's an excellent character actress -- which is what she's been for most of her already-long career. I don't really buy that she's a leading lady, which is what she's now being sold as, but for years she's never been less than good in quirky supporting parts, and she seems to work hard (her large filmography would seem to bear that out). I'm a King of the Hill fan so she also gets points for being on that show and for being so good on it (as Luanne and, for the first four years, Joseph).
She is very thin, though, and she looks so different from role to role, which was an asset as a character actress but not as a wannabe star (she doesn't have her own "look"). I have no idea of the cause for her weight-loss and I'm not very good at speculating. I can definitely think of other young, unnaturally skinny women in Hollywood I consider more worthy of scorn, though.
