Dead Zone 7/27

So the long contested Osama episode finally airs and no thread. I didn't even realize the show had restarted until just before the weekend. The episdoe is taped and ready to watch for tomorrow or if I'm lucky tonight.

What did you all think?

for those of you that missed it it will re-air on tuesday at 11:30pm

For a show that's delivered a surprisingly high level of quality, this was a pretty big stinkfest. There was a scene that elevated it from pure crap to just a simple waste of time
Spoiler:
when Johnny realizes he doesn't have a complete picture of the events and doesn't want to risk peoples' lives on circumstantial evidence.
All in all, though, they should have let this episode disappear when they had the chance. Not only was it a big departure from the spirit of Johnny's power, but it was a very paint-by-numbers execution. I even had a hard time liking Alex Zahara's character, and I typically love his work. Very disappointing.

It was like they plucked Johnny Smith from "The Dead Zone" and plopped him into "The Twilight Zone", with the results being less than satisfying.

I actually really liked it, but the acting seemed really bad in this episode.

Eh, it was alright. Certainly stands out like a sore thumb from the standard level of quality.

But, there were two things I liked: the Get Smart references and the little nod to Trek (USS Enterprise).

Huh. I kinda liked it. A nice little departure, and a bit of continuity from the Grissom thing.

I also liked that they infer that Johnny is not necessarily the only psychic out there.

And I thought the sequence where he was calling out enemy positions was pretty intense.

I liked the episdoe too. Although its a departure from the normal story line it was a good hour of TV, especially when you compare it to reality tv or the prime time game shows you see on the networks these days.

I don't expect the govenment would have let him walk after his display, and I doubt they'd immerse someone so quickly and let him meet the others so quickly but that aside I thought it was a good episode.

Looking forward to catching the ones
I missed and the few remaining in the summer season.
