For Love or Money 2

But Rob was presently himself as a slamdunk for Erin to get the $2 million if she picked him. But in the end, I don't think she trusted him enough to believe that he wasn't harboring some other plan (to win Erin's heart, have her pick him, and then choose the money over her, thus royally screwing her over). Plus, she's got puppy dog, Wade, as her safety valve should Chad prove too unpredictable for this decision of love or money.

Erin is a hugh bitch. I've watched both of these shows since the beginning, and she is hard-core only about money. She'll step over anyone to get to it. Does doesn't even pretend...

I was only half paying attention last week. I thought it all wrapped up tonight.
However, zap2it and my local TV guide say tonight is a one hour reunion show. Per Zap2it, next week is two hour finale.

It was nice to see Kelly and Laura during the reunion show - I missed them a lot.
My wife thought Rob looked much better w/ his hair cut shorter. Paige still has a major jones for Rob, it was obvious as hell.

And she laid it all on the line for Chad, who almost gave Erin a heart attack when he was explaining his dilemna and appeared to want the money over her, but he was just messing with her mind, and chose Erin over the $1 million. Then Erin told Chad about the other scam, and said that she'd be happy to split the $2 million with him. In a strange and tacky moment, during some cuddling, Erin whips out a check with Chad's name on it and fills it out for $500,000 (what's up with the other $500, 000? Uncle Sam already take a chunk out of it, or was that the present value of the prize, roughly 50% of the prize over 20-40 years).
Anyhow congrats to the happy couple. Did love really trump money? We still don't know because they got both.

I still think anybody who'd give up a million (or even $500,000) for a stranger is an idiot. He was taking a huge chance that she wasn't just playing a game and even if they are in "love", the odds of it ending up in marriage, and a successful marriage at that, is remote. But he may have a great job and maybe the money doesn't mean as much to him as it does to much of us.

I'm pretty sure Erin was splitting the $2 million prize evenly with Chad, but the present value of it is probably $1 million, so that is what she split with him. Otherwise, they'd have to wait 40 years at $25,000/year to collect the entire prize sum. Erin probably opted for the present value of the prize. After taxes, both will probably clear $250k-$300k.

Yeah - I still don't get the whole money-hungry characterization of Erin.
Now the next question - how long before Erin appears in Playboy?

My wife was so happy that Erin chose Chad over Wade. I was a bit surprised that he didn't opt for the $$$ himself, but he still got some in return...
I'm glad these summer shows are ending so the fall program can FINALLY begin.

But I wouldn't give him a million either.
She may have been urged by the producers to give him something or she may have actually felt guilty about the twist and wanted to show that she actually cared about him.

I thought the ending was very tense especially when Chad said "nothing against you" but .... The show REALLY tried to stretch/draw every possible moment out. Of course I had to watch every moment of it.
It was QUITE tacky when during the "magical" moment, Erin decides that was the right time to write Chad a check. TACKY.

I still laugh when I hear her characterized as a gold digger. Any guy would likely do the same thing.
