I was hoping it would be funnier than it turned out to be. It's a really good premise, and there are some good scenes, but it got a little boring and I can see it getting old pretty fast. It certainly didn't help that most of the good parts made up half the commercials.

I plan on watching it again. It has a few members from The State troupe so I'm interested. It was pretty funny IMO, definitely better than a lot of the dreck that's on network tv.

Ditto. One half-episode was enough for me.

I'll ditto your ditto. I chuckled once or twice but I can't picture tuning in to see future episodes. Frankly, I think the real show COPS is often funnier.

I'll echo that it was just okay. It could swing either way. Some of the characters like the black woman and the macho cop were too cliched and not funny.

I'm not keen on the show getting into thier personal lives. I think it plays better as a straight COPS parody, going from crime to crime and dealing with the calls as their characters.

I will go with the majority and say that it was okay. No desire to see it again though.

I thought it was hysterical. I agree that they should just make it a Cops parody, those were the parts I found really funny. The first bit I saw was the surprise party. It had me hooked for the rest from that one.

Today's episode was much better than last weeks, but there were some painful spots to watch. The part where the "I wanna dip my balls in it" guy from The State stole Dangle's wallet was awesome!

Reno 911!

Anybody watching this show? I think it's hilarious; especially the one last night where Raineesha hooks up with Garcia in the hot tub. Those two crack me up; but Dangle takes the cake with his remarks in the meeting. CPT...

Yes, Dangle is by FAR the funniest. I loved how he was at the beauty salon, getting his highlights done, and the stylist mentioned how he too was going to visit Jones at crossing guard duty. Dangle brings a little teddy bear, and then finds that his police bike is missing again. "Oh, f***. Oh, s***, not again!! I was gone for like one minute! God d*****! You're all accomplises! You hear me?"

"Sir, I will not hesitate to beat your ass with your own shoe."

That and the scenes where they beat the mime and the guy in the shake costume are just freakin' hilarious. And of course the whole show where they do the scavenger hunt for the two passes to the execution. Great stuff.

A while before the first episode aired I posted a thread for everyone to keep a look out for the show & that it would be one of, if not the funniest thing on TV. After the first couple of episodes aired I stuck with that while most here were sayinig the show is a Super Troopers rip-off that only had a few funny moments. And now I feel the show has really hit it's strides & I stick by everything I've said. It's from the brilliant minds of The State. These guys are as funny as it get's. Thomas Lennon was one of the 3 best members of the State & now he is THE best part of Reno 911.

I almost fell off my couch laughing a few episodes ago when Weigel and Garcia went into the strip club. When Garcia took off his belt to fight the drunk guy, gave it to Weigel, and Weigel dropped it and the guy took Garcia's gun and shot him with it

This show has been great over the past few weeks.

I was just going to post on this.

Yeah, it's funny stuff. Not juvenille like most of the crap on Comedy Central. The writing is outstanding. I wonder how much of it is ad-lib?

I'm watching episode where the FBI comes into town. I'm at the part where they try to break the microwave to get a new one, and they stick a teargas grenade in it. Lol.

Along with The Daily Show this is the best show on CC.

Almost all of it. The Improv "feel" of it is what makes it so funny.

I saw the first episode and was kind of disappointed. I didn't watch it for three or four weeks, but then started watching it again and my god, this show is HILARIOUS.

One of my favorite scenes is during the FBI episode, and they stop that robber running out of the convenience store. I love how they parody the real-life criminals like on COPS.......when they're pulling the money he stole out of his pockets, "what's that?....wha, what's that?"

"They said f*** officer Garcia?".....and then he goes running after them..

This show's awesome.

Without a doubt. The skits & basic ideas are obviously written ahead. But they just constantly evolve & change things. These guys have been a stand-up improv troup for years & years. It's what they do best.

I'd equate it to old time wrestling promos, in that they are given a few points that they have to hit and then eventually get to a particular situation, but along the way anything goes as long as it works and is funny.

One of the few shows I'll go out of my way to watch......
