Amazing Race - LEG 8 (7/17)

I don't know where Mark's thread is? He usually has it up after the last episode. Anyway, vote away!

On the next episode of The Amazing Race:
Spoiler:
The Princess Reminded Me of My Grandmother. She Was Very Old but Still Very, Very with It.

A team reveals a secret during an emotional reunion between the remaining contestants; and another team tries to eavesdrop on opponents receiving information at an airline office.

I'm betting on non-elimination this time around, but I voted for Kelly & Jon to come in last.

The clowns have been slow getting to the pitstop last few times. I think they will be the last to arrive this time.

I'm just guessing this week...Millie and Chuck will come in last (I also predict a non-elimination round). I picked them because they are the only team left who has used their fast forward.

I can't see this not being a non-elimination leg. If it isn't, that means it will be a final four instead of a final three all the way until the end.

I assume that all-male teams have dominated ARs of the past, so you have to guess molewoman and werewolf will be eliminated.

I want the mole and her werewolf to be eliminated, but if I vote for them they will surely stick around to annoy me. So I will vote for Kelly and Jon - they'll get into a messy argument and f'k everything up for themselves.

Didn't they come in second last week? Moved up from last.

I voted for the Chip and Dale team. I think their luck has run out.

If anything, their luck ran out last week (with the slowest cab driver in India) and only managed to survive by taking the faster Detour option. I actually think they've been racing pretty well -- not counting their bone-headed forest jaunt in France -- as are all of the remaining teams. However, Millie & Chuck, having already used the Fast Forward and seeming to have more personality conflicts as the race goes on, would appear to be the most vunerable.

That said, it will most likely be a non-elimination leg, so I expect to see all of the teams around for another week, at least.

Spoiler:
Non elimination. Easy to tell, since they do not say that the last person to arrive will be eliminated

So where was this supposed "meltdown" that was supposed to take place this week? Frickin false advertising.

If/when Chuck and Millie ever tried to have sex, OMG, that would be excruciatingly to watch if you were a fly on the wall. Can you imagine Millie barking out orders, and Chuck's li' turtlehead going back into the shell for a very long time...

It seems that this season there is a little more emphasis on strength in some of the tasks which is a little unfair to the non-buff out there.

I don't think this ever set itslef out to be a competition of strength, more about will and guile.

Millie is so annoying...

Chuck sure seemed to be very uncomfortable hearing the talk about anything having to do with sex. And not just the Chip & Dale talk either.

You could tell Kelly & John knew it was a non-elimination round. They knew they were in last but were still laughing and goofing around instead of barking at each other. I hope they carry that laid back attitude over a bit to the next legs. It made them much more enjoyable to watch.

"John wants to shut up now. John would shut up, if Kelly would just hit the target. Make John shut up Kel, make John shut up."

That was hilarious -- I couldn't believe she said that. She also said a few other things that made me raise my brows, wondering if she realized what she was saying. Didn't she also say, when Chuck was chucking the spears, something like, "come on, Chuck, just put it in!"

Yeah, baby...

(On a side note, did you guys notice when they finished, Millie started to hug Chuck, and Chuck just gave her a high five? Did I imagine that?)

I think the best part was when the two gay guys came out of the closet in front fo the others. I noticed that the virgins weren't clapping. I think the gays should have kissed in front of everybody and then panned the camera to show the facial expressions on the virgins.

They had a choice to fish and not choose the physically demanding task.

It's a good thing for Mille & Chuck they got taken to the wrong detour because they would not have been able to pull up the lobster trap.

the weirdest line was chuck's when he said something like I hope this race leads to a lot of things BUT marriage. i guess they're breaking up soon.

I guess I missed the part where C&D came out. We had a HUGE rain/thunderstorm last night, and of course, our local "meteorologist" had to come on and tell us that there was a Tornado Warning in Indiana.
OH Well....
