Family Guy????

I don't know if this has been covered recently, but Family Guy is only 2 words so a search is out of the question...

I've heard a ton of stories and rumors. But does anyone know why this was pulled off the air? I know they still run some in syndication, but no new ones.

The last rumor I heard was, it was because of the "Hitler jelously joke" in the first episode, with the muscle bound Jewish guy. I can't believe this is true because the show went on for 3 seasons.

There's been a lot of discussion on this show, and while the search is iffy, many recent threads have been made about it.

And to answer your question, I believe FOX just improperly treated the show by moving the show around from time slot to time slot, even putting it up against ratings powerhouse, "Friends". So it was difficult for people to find out when it aired, and ratings were poor.

However, loyal fans were able to start a campaign that saved the show when FOX cancelled it. They later canceled it anyways, but more episodes were made/aired/whatever.

It was canned because Fox likes to cancel shows without giving them any room to grow in or for that matter, not caring about a show unless they have a big take on it. Much like Futurama, the time slot shuffle was done a lot with this show not allowing an audiance to build up. It wasn't for any reason such as the jokes or anything. Fox just canceled it like they do with every other GOOD show on their network.

Fans are now watching this in numbers on cartoon network at 11:30 at night and on TBS at 2:30 in the afternoon. Fox shot themselves in the foot.

I think you're a little confused. You can't search for words with three or less letters. You could've searched for "family" in TV Talk and that probably would've worked.

Yeah, the seach function does suck. I even tried searching for "family guy" in quotes which should then be treated as a single ten letter word as far as the search engine is concerned. It's BS.
