P.S. As noted above, Wilbon's on vacation for a month. Doing the math, I'd expect him to return Monday.

Wilbon always takes the month of July off - for PTI and WP columns.

*sigh*

I'll repost what I said in the other (now deleted) thread:

I don't think I can stand another appearance from Jackie MacMullen. Her female bias is as bad as, if not worse than, Bill Rhoden's racial obsession. I also have to admit that I find LeBatard a lot more tolerable than I used to. He seems to have toned down some of his antics and found a better humor about his job. Of all the guest host pairings, I think he and TaFoya had the best chemistry.

Wilbon's back on Monday, but Tony will be taking two weeks off starting Monday, so three weeks from now we'll have the TK/Wilbon PTI back.

God damn....I really miss the Wilbon/Tony arguments...would love to see Wilbon's take on the Kobe and Lakers situations.

In truth, there wouldn't be much for them to talk about at this point in the year. The only sport in season is baseball, and neither of them seem to know a lot about the sport. Other than that, the guest hosts talk about stuff that just isn't that interesting. Better to give them a break rather than having them babble about offseason signings and the like.

I did get annoyed by Lebatards constant Tour de France bashing. It seems like he was the only one doing that, and man did it get old.

The funny thing about this situation is this: das and I both dislike Rhoden, but for very different reasons.

I can remember in 1993 going down the stretch in the baseball season, Rhoden was on The Sports Reporters and referred to the Philadelphia Phillies, a team made up almost exclusively of grungy, hairy, tobacco chewing, mullet-wearing white guys as a "Soul team" and said that he preferred them to Atlanta.

His name in my house instantly became "Crackhead" Bill Rhoden and I've never said it aloud any other way since that day.

Ah, Tony and Wilbon together again, even if just for a day or two. All is right again.
