Banzai-- the lowest of the low?

Can't believe how utterly bad those commercials look. Plus, even before the first show airs, it is already claiming victims:

Actually, the show claims to be spoofing Japanese game shows...

It's not..

It almost immitates Japanese game shows dead on perfectly. (Players placing bets over the dumbest possible ****.) (and.. at least the few Japanese game shows I've actually seen.. which isn't many I'll admit, I tend to gravitate toward the dumbest possible ones too. (a few various shows and the occasional super happy family hour.)

That said, anybody who does something they hear on a commercial is just stupid. Let's see somebody get a rabbi, a priest, and lou ferrigno and get that segment immitated.

Banzai TV used to be shown on USA network on Fri or Sat nights during different movies. You could go online to their website and compete against other viewers in various contests. So um, the first show aired a year or two ago.

Banzai has been around for a while (at least here in Canada) and it is the funniest/craziest show you are bound to see.... it is absolutely hilarious and makes for a great drinking game... WELL worth watching...honestly...

Interesting. I'd never heard of it before. Maybe next, we can paint some white guys in blackface, give them big red lips, and have a tap-dancing show-- as a "spoof" of old minstrel shows.

I don't see how this will be interesting stretched to a half hour.

If you think its so terrible dont watch it. As already stated its not even a spoof but practically an exact copy of real Japanese game shows.

Hehee, how do you know, without ever seeing an episode, that the show will be making fun of any nationality?

Uh, from the COMMERCIALS? The commercials look so blatantly racist I CRINGE and look at my calendar to make sure I'm not back in the midst of World War 2. I'm not touching one single SECOND of this show. And I expect it to last only a few episodes.

I can't tell from the commercials exactly what the show is supposed to be about.

For a second I thought it was Gedde Wannatabee on the commerical, that would've been better.

Anyone watch this? As it seemed in the commercials, it is pretty horrible. Some of the "bets" were silly enough, but I thought that the one legged soccer player against the one armed goalie was in bad taste.

I can honestly say that I would never watch it again.

I laughed a good bit, but thought the old-lady chicken was kind of wrong.

That said, here's a bet.

PLACE YOUR BETS!!

HOW LONG WILL BANZAI! LAST ON FOX?
A. 2 to 7 EPISODES
B. 8 to 13 EPISODES
C. 14 to 26 EPISODES
D. MORE THAN 26 EPISODES.

I'll probably keep watching, reminds me of SUPER HAPPY FAMILY HOUR that I used to watch. And well, TV sucks 8:30 Sunday.

Congratulations Lou Ferrigno, You won this baby's soul!

Perhaps you can trade it in for a Caravan.

It was funny for the first 5 min. After that it got old. I bet it won't be one more than 4 episodes.

I laughed, I cried.. I had a moment. One of the best shows on tv for guilty pleasures. I'll watch again and again.

If it's scraping the bottom of the barrel, then it's bound to have a long run on FOX.

I agree.

It wasn't nearly as bad as I expected from the commercials and some of the segments were pretty entertaining.

This would make great TV if said person were to do it in Harlem or South Central LA.
