it seems like the picture is so dark, it look like that for everyone?

I think the first version of the movie on dvd was too dark and the ultimate version fixed that. Just turn the brightness up some (why are you watching it on fx? Shannon's nude scene and all the language get cut)

It was on FOX awhile back too. Pretty pointless... especially on network television.

Actually, alot of the good stuff still got on the fx version.

so how did they do the nude scene? Did they paint clothes back on her? I only flipped thru and saw the tail end of the scene, but it literally looked photoshopped to me.

In one shot, Shannon Elizabeth's breast has a Showgirls-on-VH1 thing on her breast (they tried to make it look like her shirt, but it just looked like a sloppy Paint Brush job.) In a scene before that, they just flat out skipped a few shots (you can tell it pretty easily since there's a painfully obvious jump in the audio.)

Was this the 8:00pm version?

The 1:00am (or whenever it started) version retained s*** and the infamous "I stick a flute up my *****" line.

Missed the Shannon scene, though.

Edit: Oh yeah, it did edit the scene where (possible spoiler?)

The 8:00 PM version retained all that as well.

Also I am surprised the scene where Kevin goes down on Vicky was not edited.

"oh ok" Mostly, the nude scene from what i saw, had a combination of skiping it all together, and had a cropped shot where we just saw her head.
