Matt has been playing Rob and Butch all this time. He was able to survive Daniel's blabbing at one of the earliest tribal council, and just played super-dumb to suck up to Rob's need for people to acquiesce to his "superior" gamesmenship/manipulation. Matt has been much more subtle in the way he's played both Matt and Butch.

Thank God Heidi the mastermind is gone !



That was too funny. She was one of the laziest, useless contestants ever !

I've been rooting for Matt to win. He deserves it.
They have to get rid of Butch next. He's too nice to be in the final 2.

Matt would win against Jenna or Rob but I'm sure he's thinking he has the best chance against Rob.

I also hope Matt wins, but I'm on a hell of losing streak with these things. Jenna is the only one left I will really be unhappy with if they win.

Did you also notice Dave's reaction when Heidi said "I have 3 guys scared of me"? He just shook his head and buried his face in his hands like he couldn't believe what he was hearing. Classic!

And Matt definitely deserves to win at this point. He's probably done more for the survival of the whole tribe than many of the other members put together. He's made some good strategic moves, and I don't think for a moment that he's really as clueless as he seems to be. And, man, can he kick *ss when he wants to! He just tore into those challenges tonight!

Heidi sealed her fate by making that ourageous statement at the end..

I can't remember the exact dialogue, but I laughed my butt off when Heidi and Rob were discussing how Jenna wasn't feeling well. Heidi said something like "Jenna thinks she might not make it even one more day". Rob said "what does that mean, she's going to die?" The other thing that cracks me up about Rob is that sometimes his voice sounds like he's choking up, but then you look at him and he's not. He's the best.

Althought she made herself look like an a$$, i don't think thats what got them to vote her off. They know going in who they're voting for. They can't just change their vote on the fly once they get to council and risk one of them voting for the wrong person.

Why can't they? All it takes is a quick look to let the other members of your alliance know that you changed your vote, especially after something as blatant as what Heidi did.

I don't think it was necessarily Heidi falling on her sword for Jenna either. I think that she just wanted out. Those comments were just too damaging to not have the motive of wanting to get booted out...

I laughed at Dave burying his head in his hands as well.

The mastermind. Dave's reaction during Heidi's recitation of her being dangerous was priceless.

One thing seems sure - Jenna or Rob will be the in the final. Butch or Matt would have to be foolish to bring one another to the final. I'm rooting for Rob.

I assume the next IC will be mental to negate the huge advantage Matt now has.

I heard Jeff Probst being interviewed this AM on a radio station. He was as befuddled by Heidi's comments as everyone else. Matt deserves to win this game, but the deserving person doesn't always win, huh? I hope that Rob makes it to the final two because Survivor gets a little boring when there are only two people left at camp. He'll make it more interesting.

Fallen Comrades is the mental challenge of answering questions on how well you know the other survivors. I'm guessing that's what will be next for the immunity challenge.

I don't know if I call Matt the most deserving. Sure, athletically he is. There is more to the game than just athletics. It is just like that idiot Colby from Australia - I never thought he deserved to win (of course Tina didn't either).

The big question...

Where was the supposed catfighting between the girls that they kept hyping on the previews??

What were Heidi's final comments??

How much Jenna meant to her, how much she loved Jenna, how much she hopes she gets the opp to vote for Jenna, blah blah blah.

Yeah, she's really shown how much she loves Jenna. Voting against her trying to get the letter that Jenna was basically crying to get. Heidi is such a fool.

Anyone else think this season has been one of the best? From the beginning of battle of the sexes to all the great comments from Rob to Matt acting like a mad man with the machett...

I think it is the best since the first one. You can't top the one with Richard, Rudy, Susan, and Kelly.

No! Not priceless heirlooms that had been around for an entire five years! Tragic! And yet such a priceless comment...
Oh, and Butch thinks he is in no way at fault for the fire? Though I do not want Rob to win, you gotta like his "I'm not going to name any names *cough**Butch* here..."

Yeah, that had me laughing, too. I could have sworn some of the other jury members had goofy looks on their faces as well. I thought Alex did.

We have to give Heidi one little bit of credit - she finally spelled somebody's name correctly when she voted for Rob.

Agreed, this has been one of the better Survivors. Probably my fave since the first two.

My favorite part was when they went back to the burned down camp and Jenna said something like "I have no clothes!".

Alex was loving it when the jury found out the camp was burned down.

Butch was working awfully hard to deflect blame in the fire. He lost some respect points with me at that moment (though he was just trying not to give anyone a reason to give him the boot if someone else would be better suited for an earlier exit than him).
