Season Finale of "Wanda at Large" !??

Just saw a commercial for the season finale of "Wanda at Large". Huh? Geez, look what HBO started. Seasons now consist of shows that are only a few episodes. Didn't Wanda premiere like six weeks ago? That beats "Sex and the City" on it's last season. Wow.

It's a mid-season replacement. It never recieved a full season order.

I like the show. It has potential. Don't know if it is going to get picked up or not, since it was on the bubble the last time I looked...

It was on the bubble? It's been constantly performing great in the 18 - 49 (#10t last week, and was a top 20 show (overall) yet again last week) demo which Fox has been aiming for, I don't see them not picking it up for a second season - unless tonights episode tank.

That said, I really like the show, I think I just kind of like Wanda, been a fan of hers thanks largely to Curb Your Enthusiasm, and she wasn't even that big of a character.

It's pretty damn entertaining.

I don't think the show has ever been "on the bubble". They only ordered 6 episodes to see how it would do. Although the ratings have slipped a little bit since the premiere, I believe FOX is very happy with the ratings. By giving it the label of a season finale, FOX, in their own weird way, is building it up as a viable contender for a hit series in the near future.

In an online article I read (I think that it was People or USA Today), they stated that the show hadn't been resigned for next year, and that it didn't have a big enough audience to assure that it would be, hence, it was on the bubble...
