Wow, I've never even heard of this site before. Looks really useful.... too bad I just found out about it today.

Any other sites like it?

Gist was always a weird site. It could be an absolute goldmine of information at times, but the clumsy interface and crawling pageloads made it seem like the whole site was being run from a 386 in some guy's basement. Oh well ... I'll miss it.

From their site

Gist will continue to develop and sell its Electronic Program Guide software to global television service providers.
So it looks like it's less a 'going out of business' and more a 'lets focus on where we make money'.

I never liked Gist. It was awkward and not that functional, and I was suprised that people would actually pay for TV listings, unless you are getting TV Guide.

For conveinence's sake, I use Yahoo or Myway's listings. They work, I can tag little favorites, and I stay informed.

Yowwie, yahoo.com is much better for tv listings. Screw Gist.

Gist wasn't bad...well it sorta was, but the cardinal sin was it was slow as hell.

I use Yahoo...easy enough.

I'm using myway, since it seems based on the old excite interface I'm used to-- where you can define grid favorites in red...
