What happended to "Providence"?
I've been watching reruns of Providence on late night TV some, and it looks like it was a nice show.
I assume it's been cancelled. What happened? Not enough viewers, or contract troubles?she

Also, the Providence theme song, "In My Life", was written by John Lennon & Paul McCartney and performed by Chantal Kreviazuk (whoever she is).

First the bad news: four-year-old drama Providence, starring Melina Kanakaredes, got the axe on October 21. "NBC owes a great deal of gratitude to 'Providence,' which turned the lights on for the network on Fridays and has helped keep us number one on the night," said exec Jeff Zucker in a press release. But all the kind words in the world can't hide the declining ratings for the show, which is down 15% from last year. NBC will allow the series to remain on the air until December, when the Hansens will wrap things up with a two-hour send-off on December 20.
