They offer a HDTV service there? That's pretty cool. I live in Phoenix, and I have not heard a single thing about Cox offering HDTV service.

I don't think its available in LV, I have cox and where i live they are going to offer hdtv. they says that its still in the process of getting it and that it should be availble by 2nd quarter. requires you to have a hdtv ready or hdtv capable + hd decoder, digital converter box and cox digital cable service. If you visit cox.com look around the cities under select location, i checked out LV and it doesn't say anything about hdtv. If you goto where i live, orange county, CA they have options for hdtv under there tv services.

I'm in NoVa and I've been seeing the commercials for the Cox HDTV service. If the price is right, I'll probably check it out in a few months.

You must have COX Digital Cable to get it (which Im guessing you already have). I don't have it yet, but my friend does, and it is really nice.

You pay $10 a month for the service and aditional dollar for the remote. You get ABC, CBS, and PBS HDTV for the $10, Showtime and HBO if you currently have both, and an additional $7 for ESPN and Discovery HD.

Installation is $50 and if you need an adapter and cables, COX will charge you around $110.

Overall not a bad deal, but I'm just waiting for COX to get a few more channels.

Deftones - Cox does indeed offer HD service in Phoenix... its been here for like 8 months now, but you have to have their digital service to upgrade, and you have to purchase the SA box, vs renting it like most other markets.
