Where to get an additional DirecTV remote?

Well, I finally got me soma dat DirecTV. I need an additional remote. Universal remotes are no problem for me, but the wife doesn’t like them.

I thought about contacting the place I got the receivers from, but they’re idiots. And it sounds like all they “sell” are the package deals (couldn’t get a Tivo from them).

Any ideas?

Who manufactures your receiver?

I'd contact them.

Well, there's a thought.

It's a Hughes.

Ya know, some programs have that "interactive" content. How do you turn off that "i" that comes on the screen? So far, all I've seen is spam...

Chew, that remote only works for DirecTiVos and SA TiVos. Wizdar said he couldn't get a TiVo and got a regular Hughes receiver.

Wizdar, if you still want a TiVo, get one straight from Directv for $199 + s&h. They even send an installer (at no charge) to add a multiswitch and run the second line to the room where the TiVo will be -
