Wasn't that little finger-eating demon creepy? I didn't look for it in the credits, but I'm almost positive that he was played by Danny Woodburn (who played Mickey Abbott in several Seinfeld episodes).

Dang, what happened prior to the credits? Idol ran long and the credits had already started by the time I flipped over.

Angel for some reason started early last night, about 8:58:30-8:59:00 ET. (Usually its start way after 9:00:00 ET) The previously on Angel part went by pretty quick with just quick clips of the baby moving around in Cordy, the birth, Jasmine, everyone worshiping her, Fred finding out about Jasmine, the gang talking about how they should kill Fred. The opening scene also went by quick which consisted of Fred being chased by Gunn/Wesley. They thought they caught up to Fred but it was a similar looking woman wearing Freds' jacket (she said a woman alias Fred-gave it to her) and we then see Fred hiding in the sewers nearby. Credits then started. The whole thing lasted around 4 mins. You didn't miss anything unless you were wondering why Angel/Connor were searching for Fred in the sewers at the start of the next scene. Theres your answer.
LB...
Edit: Actually just re-watch the opening bit and the whole thing was less than 3 minutes (about 2:50) and that includes the whole "The WB Wednesdays presents an all new episode of Angel" bit-which showed some quick shots of the new episode". Definiately one of the quickest before credit things that Angel has done, although it did its purpose, reminding us of what happened last few episodes and the premise of the episode-the chase after Fred.

Well, I think most of the "How quickly Wesley Gunn and Lorne came around vs. Angel and Fred" can be chalked up to FANTASY LOGIC, a writers loophole, pure and simple. But, if you really want to get all sci fi geeky, you could say that the day or two more of a psychic bond growing between them and Jasmine was enough for the last three to realize to truth once that was connection was severed. Sort of made it easier to come to their senses, like sobering up after taking amphetamines vs a cup of coffee, reality crashes down on you harder.
Once again, just like Cordy sleeping with Connor looking like bad plotting, perhaps Connors bond with Jasmine has some depth we haven’t seen yet? The only thing I can trust is that there is more to it other than Connor being lame. Hopefully the writers have some explanation other than Connor, as an individual, just plain sucks.

I liked the matter of fact way Jasmine answered Conner with: "I ate them," regarding the people who went into the room with her.
Any word on the numbers from last night? I will never forgive WB if they end the series without resolution and leave fans out in the cold. In fact, I will send the suits a dead frog in the mail!

The poor kid's entire life has sucked. Last night dropped a couple of hints about how badly Holtz actually treated him in the demon dimension, and that's something he looks back on fondly. He doesn't really have much of a family. The Angel, Inc. group acts like a surrogate family for each other, but he's always been on the outside (partly his own doing, yeah, but it still sucks.) What's worse, he doesn't have anything in his life that is his own. Everything he has is really his father's, which makes for some looming daddy issues.
So, enter Jasmine. Give the bratty, snotty, angsty idiot kid everything he's been wanting. For the first time, he has a purpose. He's not just Angel's weird kid, he is responsible for bringing about one of the greatest things ever. As Jasmine repeatedly says, none of her followers are alone. He finally fits in. He finally has a functioning relationship with his father. And he's always blissed out on whatever it is that Jasmine radiates. His life is good.
And then his dad takes it all away. He's alone again. He may have had a hand in creating something horrible. He's instantly depressed. His world is going to go back to the way it was before Jasmine arrived. The final scenes were shot in such a way that Connor did seem isolated from the group again. Given that Angel himself came pretty close to suggesting (I think) that Fred and he just let Jasmine win and make people happy, I don't find it too hard to believe Connor would go into heavy denial.

I too am actually of the school of thought that Conner might have been acting out of his own free will instead of his immunity to the "anitdote." No reason has been given as to why yet, so it could be true.

When the episode started, showing scenes of smiling, waving people with the happy soundtrack playing, it seemed to me like David Lynch's style of directing. (With a sly homage to Invasion of the Body Snatchers when Fred slammed into the car.)
But when the diner guy from Mulholland Drive showed up at the magic book store, that's when I really started to wonder if this was being directed by Lynch!

You hit on exactly what I've been saying for awhile now. Sure Conner is annoying but it is a case of the writer's staying true to the way a character was concieved and the purpose the Conner character serves the plot of the series. He comes off as a brat because his character doesn't know any better. Then if its comes to pass, and it seems to be where the writers are going, that his very existence was manipulated by Jasmine so she could be born into the world...then as a character he has even more reason to be petulant and not trusting of anything/anyone around him. I'm frankly amazed that the writers have stayed so focused with Conner's character and have really refused to soften him up.

I think Connor made his choice when he chose to ignore Darla. He was actually choosing evil. The way he said "cool" when Jasmine said that she had eaten the three people made me cringe. I think Connor's going to end up being angel's arch nemesis. (Darth Vader and Luke, but opposite. Dad's the good guy, son's the bad guy)
Even as mentally "happy" and screwed up as the others were, do you all really think that Lorne, Wesley, or Gunn would have thought that was "cool." Of course, again, they did believe that Fred was evil!?!?

From the Washington Post's TV Column:
WINNERS:
"Angel." Awaiting word on whether it will be back next season, the Buffy spinoff made its case for renewal last week, clocking its largest audience since November and its best young-male ratings in more than two years.
