VERY good call! She is a poor, poor substitute for Livia.

I can't remember the character's name but there was this screechy, ultra-annoying girl on Ellen. I never could figure out why she was on the show, except to irritate the audience.

I remember back on Moonlighting, for a change-of-pace, post-shark jumping stunt, they had Maddie marry some loser. He was universally loathed. When they finally wrote his character off later in the season, as he walked away, he looked at the camera and said "There. Are you happy now?". That made me laugh.

It seems like Marshall is just there to give a little bit of comic relief and it doesn't seem like his character has a real point.

Forgot one, the little 6 year old kid on Married with children which lasted like 7 episodes.

maybe it is the name that makes the character annoying. i feel the same way about janice from friends. she irks the hell out of me for the same reason the nanny does. her voice and her annoying as hell laugh.

Although I'm only up to about midway through the 5th season, Buffy from Buffy is really starting to grate my nerves. She sounds like Dante from Clerks (I'm not even supposed to be here today...).

Ross on "Friends". The whiny persona is not funny, not even amusing. It is intolerable. The show comes to a screeching halt whenever he has more than one line or 5 sconds of air time. Schwimmer will disappear off the face of the earth when this show ends.

Carol Burnett on Mad About You. I think I stopped watching the show before she came on, but she did a good job of keeping me away.

Also, I don't remember Buffy being annoying in season 5. It was season 6 that she did her Dante impression all season.

I wonder who will win the most annoying voice, her or Janis from Friends.
