I watch Miracles, MNF if it's a good game and cos of Madden and The Mole, and The Family if I remember.
I dunno if ABC "getting what it deserves." I think that they rode the Millionaire show too hard but if I had a cheap winner, I would hammer my competition with it as well. They knew the show would never have legs but it died faster than they thought and never "fostered" any shows around it.
I think that ABC resembles Fox in the sense that in the past, they developed quality shows that not many people watched (ABC - The Job, Cupid, Sports Night, Once and Again) to (Fox's Any Ricther, Greg the Bunny, Action, etc). It took 2 hits for Fox - Joe Millionaire and American Idol 2 for Fox to go from dead to competing for first and first in demos.
Networks are cyclical. That is why they replace their network Presidents ever few years. ABC will be back. It's just a matter of timing and getting lucky with one or two shows. Remember, also, they have the Superbowl ever three or so years and the NBA ... "plus the "synergy" of Disney and ESPN so I wouldn't count out the Mouse.

I'm a Disney fanatic..['Ol school, though]..while I feel that they really shouldn't mess with the original product, as a business, they're doing what they feel they need to [due to "market research" or whatever..
]..Perhaps [like WP suggested] they need to look at both the "Joe Six Pack" crowd AND the collectors and try to find some middle ground..
Though, I don't see it happening anytime soon unfortunately..
And..what does Disneyland have to do with anything..?

disneyland (or di$neyland if you wish) is one of the most expensive (read incredibly overpriced places) in the world. while i don't think people most people think about disneyland prices when using money as a factor in disney's status (i don't think most people think about $ at all when using it in place of the s
), it is still valid seeing as it is easily as if not more annoying than their dvd/film practices.

I can't remember the last time I watched a series on ABC. I might have picked up a sports broadcast but other than that I just skip right past the station. I doesn't help that the local ABC affiliate never bothered to make the switch to broadcasting in stereo.

I don't watch ABC cause my local ABC station repeatingly denied a waiver request for receiving the distant NY and LA ABC stations on my dish. And out of all my local stations, ABC gets the worst reception in my apartment dwelling. I dunno why they are so deny-happy on waiver requests here. Maybe because their programming isn't any good and they need every last cent from their local advertisers? Well I can't watch it in any, way, shape or form thanks to the waiver denial (well that's not true anymore.. Dish Network recently added local channels on the dish for my area, but I am sticking to the ones I waived for a variety of reasons).

ABC actually started to have a hit with the second season of The Mole...so what did they do? Change hosts and recast it with celebrities.
Brilliant.

As for the host thing, they had to get a replacement, since Anderson Cooper was under contract with CNN's American Morning and CNN wouldn't allow him to take time off to do the show. The celebrity thing was rather stupid, though.
Still very entertaining, but stupid.

The only thing I watch on ABC is football. All of their shows are horrible. I know I should watch the George Lopez show to support having a Latino themed show on tv, but I don't think it's that funny.

It's begun: Veritas has been shelved until Summer. ABC will play an hour long war coverage special on Mondays for the immediate future. I hope Miracles lasts a little longer.....
They also pulled most of their reality programming for the rest of the season. "Whose Line" is supposed to be coming back.
Just how bad is the season going when Whose Line is the show you fall back on?
