The Practice - 03/17/03
Was this pre-empted for everyone? Or just in my area? Anyone know if it will be replayed this coming week? This looked like a GREAT one with the two psychos with Lindsey and Helen. Argh.
Also, if anyone got to see it and taped it, could you contact me via email? I really want to grab a copy of it.
Thanks!!
Scott

I had just finished last week's show last night before the Monday night shutdown. Oh well, if we're all here next Monday, we'll hopefully get to see the conclusion to this story. But it was rather creepy.

Meanwhile over on ABC, the network's news coverage more than doubled the usual trio of "Veritas: The Quest," "The Practice" and "Miracles" outting from last week (9.1/13 vs. 5.4/8, +69%). Various sources have indicated said lineup will get the boot after next week if its promotion boost during the Oscars this Sunday bears no fruit on March 24.

I'm sure the fact that CBS was showing reruns last night played a role in the jump. I know CSI:Miamis numbers were down quite a bit last night because it was a rerun, but it still won it's timeslot.

Watch out for the upcoming Practice episode "Les is More" where DEK does a rant on reality TV:
A woman kidnaps Les Moonves (CBS) and rigs him to blow up - she wants the networks to air the killing live and Fox's chairman Sandy Grushow agrees to air it if she fakes Les's death. Jimmy is the woman's lawyer in all this. Moonves and Grushow will play themselves.
I think a large marine mammal has just been leapt over...

Umm...okay...i'm confused...
ABC pre-empted their ENTIRE line-up for news??
FOX & NBC didn't. In fact, FOX aired Boston Public in its entirety starting at 8:15. NBC [for some stupid reason] started Fear Factor 15 minutes into the show ["We know join Fear Factor..already in process]..
