Simpsons 3/16 - "C.E.D'oh"

Time to go into Simpsons geek mode here for my reviews .

7.5/10, a solid episode

pros
-Itchy & Scratchy
-Maggie dancing
-"The Phantom Menace sucked more!"
-good emotion, Homer acted well in character
-Mr. Burns is evil again
-Smithers getting busted
-Bart and Homer fighting, cute

Cons
-Homer shocked again? At least it was somewhat funny
-Resolution came too quickly

Not bad. Two good episodes in a row! Anyone remember what that song that maggie was dancing to in her crib? Also, what did you guys think about the france statement?

I wasn't a big fan of this episode, rather dull in my book.

Great episode! Lot of classic moments. My favorite quote was from Mr. Burns: "Get that bedlamite an alienist!"

Did you notice who was just above Homer on the org chart?

Spoiler:
The inanimate carbon rod!

Spoiler:
"Sex Bomb," by Tom Jones. One of my suitemates introduced me to that song last year, and it has a good beat so I d/l'ed it and actually listen to it on occasion, so when that song started playing, I was LMAO.

What was Flanders doing in the dark after telling Homer to get some bedroom blinds?

I loved the Glengarry Glenn Ross inspired scene.

You see that car? Its a Roll's Royce Mark VII, only two were made, one for me and one for Steven Spielberg, and then they shot the guy who made it!

I missed a few parts flipping back and forth between this and ESPN. I thought it was good. The mix tape scene was hilarious.

I liked the episode as well, especially the Glengarry Glen Ross scene, and Maggie's Sex Bomb scene. It wasn't the Simpsons of old, but it was still better than most of the other stuff that passes as comedy these days.

To me, that seemed like a Hitchcock "Rear Window" reference.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but this episode nearly put me to sleep.

Not a ton of huge laughs this episode, though there were a lot of funny jokes. However, I did think it was the most consistent episode of the season and probably my favorite. Reminded me of the early years a little bit.

I watched it because it was on before Oliver Beene. I try to catch a few episodes per season to see if the show is getting better. Whenever I watched it in the past, it was a painful experience, seeing such a once great show fall so far, but CEDoh was really good, IMO. I laughed out loud and hard at several jokes, and only a couple fell flat. And I agree the ending did seem rushed, and I remember looking at my clock when it came to an end and thinking, That's it?? But if they did more episodes like this, I'd have a reason to watch it on Sunday again!

Org Chart

I didn't see it posted here so I thought I would bring it up:

I paused the org chart and Frank Grimes was on it ... but his picture was "x'd" out.. ::

The carbon rod is above Homer, and both Lenny & Carl are above the Rod.
