I think Dave gave up more info than he (or the editing) would have us believe. After all, Jenna ended up with Matthew by default, so she may have known that he was something of an outcast in the tribe (due to his earlier alliances with Ryan and Dan). If all she had was generic information, I think she would've picked Matthew over Rob and Roger. (But then, maybe I'm giving her too much credit.)

Jenna's got a nice tribe, she did well in picking the young athletic guys for the challenges. Roger and Butch are much older, and might be liabilties going against the younger/faster guys. The women are a wash at this point. Rob looks "soft" not cut or athletic, so her pick of Matt over Rob is justified, but Jenna did wind up picking up Rob because Dave trusts the older guys (Butch and Roger) over the younger ones.

I think Heidi's choice will be very detrimental in how the women fare in this game (unless the other guys like Rob or Matt get smart after the merge and try to get the women to help them eliminate the strongest guys once individual immunity comes into play later). So there might be some strange alliances to engage into the politics of the weak to boot out the strong first (a la Survivor 4 Thailand when Hunter was ousted really early in the game, much to the shock of everyone playing the game).

Dave's gotta do something. Although he's allied with the two older men, you know that they're going to side with each other against him when push comes to shove. He especially needs to get rid of Butch, who is emininently likeable and will be a threat later in the game.

I wonder how Jenna feels now that Shawna's perked up and is getting all of the attention from the guys. I don't think I saw a single guy try to flirt with her (including Rob!), and I wonder what she was thinking when they said that they voted on the cutest girl and it was Shawna. I'd feel better if I thought Shawna was using her charms to wile the guys, but I'm thinking that if they lose immunity, Shawna's gonna pull a Heidi, and then the women are going to be in really big trouble.

Heidi did not lose a jury vote from Jeanne and perhaps not Christy depending how far Christy gets because the Jury is only made up of the Final 7 plus the 2 that are left...We still have 11 in the game right now so 2 more will go before the Jury is put together.

I know they voted for Shawna, but I think Jenna is MUCH Better looking! Jenna has nothing to fear from Shawna when it comes to looks. Now when it comes to the game....Shawna could end up hurting her....


On another note I guess I am one of the only ones who want Jenna's team to kick ass. I like Alex, Matthew, Jenna, and Rob a lot more than Dave's whole team other than Heidi. I say the Young Group should kick ass for once and vote all those old farts right out of the game

Doh! Forgot about the jury thing, but tactically, it was a bad move to alienate people when you don't have to do so.

But she didn't pick Matt over Rob.

Her first male pick was Alex.
For her second male pick, she had a choice between Roger, Rob and Matt. The fact that she picked Rob over the other two makes me think that Dave may have said more to her than we were shown.

I couldn't believe that Heidi spelled it "Gene" as well. She is not exactly breaking the stereotype of the blonde with implants being having a big ego and an airhead.

I liked Dave's picks. I think keeping Butch and Roger around was a good idea.

Too bad it is still "Men Vs. Women" for Jaburu, at least that's what Deana thinks. They are ONE tribe.

I think Heidi voting Jeanne off might have been the single most idiotic tribal council vote in the history of Survivor.

Hmmmm. I didn't catch much of this episode, but why did they split up the tribes? I thought from the get go that this was going to be guys vs. girls(until at least the merger, if there was going to be one).

That is what they wanted you to think. There are no hard and fast rules in Survivor.
