Pretty good show.
Spoiler:
George Mason shows up at the airport to help them out. They find out the nuke can't be deactivated, so they decide to fly it over the desert. It is set to go off in 55 minutes, right when the show is over. How convenient. They find out that whoever flies the plane must go down with it and die. Jack decides to fly it over the desert after George offers, because Jack doesn't think he will make it. Jack is flying the plane and he talks to Kim on the phone and says his final goodbyes. Afterwards, Jack finds out that George was hiding on the plane and George convinces him to let him take over and for Jack to keep living and parachute out. Jack finally agrees and he parachutes out. The President finds out that 3 middle eastern countries were behind it and they gave Syed Ali the bomb. The show ends with the nuke going off.

Spoiler:
Wow! That really is a "Holy Sh*t" moment! I guess my theory about George killing Nina in hour 24 is pretty much dead - unless George somehow survives the nuclear blast!

BTW Blaster - is there a new episode next week? Were there any previews?

Spoiler:
does that mean unless something wierd happens, George dies in this episode?, and also, if the nuke goes off right at the end of the episode, wouldn't everybody in the area die?

Spoiler:
Yes, George dies with the plane, unless he is Superman or something. Jack stays on the plane with him until 4 minutes before the nuke goes off. They sent the nuke to the desert where minimal people would die. They had to choose between the ocean and the desert and they chose the desert. They tried to get it in a low lying area in between mountains to minimalize the radiation.

I don't get it though,
Spoiler:
If Jack is on the plane, and jumps out only 4 minutes before, then Jack is toast too!

Guess we'll have to find out tonight (or maybe even next week)

Spoiler:
I would guess that since the plane would be going very fast, he gets way out of the blast radious

Fantastic episode I found, although like from the past 4-5 weeks, you really can't tell from it what will happen further in the series since they leave so many questions unanswered such as Nina and the wifebeater husband. How can Blaster see it so early again? Downloads it online or something? Either way, I'm not so desperate to see the show to try and get it before it's on tv, I'm happy seeing 2 hours before everyone else.

Spoiler:
My theory is that the US set up the 3 countries to start a war, the general seemed a bit too ready for my taste

My wife told me tonight that when season 2 is released on DVD, she'll buy it if they cut out all the stuff with Kim. Of course, they'll have to call it "18"....

Well naturally, the bomb would go off right at the end of the episode... (Don't think this is a spoiler if you saw the timer and then the clock afterward at the beginning of this episode)

HOLY SH*T!!

My only question is how did George not cough up a lung for the 15 odd minutes he was hiding?

Great episode. I figured they'd let Mason go out a hero and I thought it was a great ending. Thank god they left that part out of the preview.

The best part of the episode, Kim didn't get in the car with the rapist/serial killer

3 weeks until the next episode sucks but at least we'll get the last 9 hours straight through

Yes, Kim finally showed some sense! But then she got out of that lady's car :/

Great episode! Cant wait to see how the rest of the series plays out.

I wasn't that impressed by the episode, actually. It was solid, but not great.

As for being able to see it early, it is available via [dirty word]download[/dirty word] early the air date, or the previous day, so it is not really hard to see it in advance. I would much prefer to see it on TV though...

No real surprises, solid episode, although the emoptional effect of Jack's goodbye was dampened because it was obvious George was on the plane.

What i don't get about diffusing a nuke...if you strapped some c4 to the thing and detonated it, wouldn't that just take out all the machinery required to set the nuke off and not the nuke itself?

Great episode! Every character (even Kim) had their shining moment in this "hour".
